And so you are back on the road, the sky's a bit overcast, but doesn't look like rain.

Lop followed the road, keeping an eye on the distance for any movement.

There was nothing moving as more trees began to engulf the road.

Lop continues down the road.

The day passes without incident and soon the sun looks like it's about to set.

"Let's find somewhere away from the road to camp," Lop suggested.

As you move from the road, you find what appears to be a small shed. Nothing else but trees around.

Lop nodded towards the shed "What do you think? It might beat being outside," she asked Richtor and Victoria.

"We might as well try it," Richtor said. "Hopefully there'll be no ghosts this time."

Lop shuddered "I'd hope that was a one off," she agreed quickly and headed towards the shed.

As you get close, you see a padlock on the door, barring your way.

"I'll deal with that," Richtor said, beginning to pick it.

Lop looked to see if there was a window to peek in.

There was a small one on the side. It just seemed to have a couple of beds from what you could see.

Lop returns to the others, "Looks like just a few beds inside." she said.

"Got it!" Richtor said as the lock opened.

"It might be worth staying inside," Vanesa said. "For safety."

"Yeah, I think you are probably right," Lop said as she entered the shed, carefully examining the interior.

There wasn't anything else but the beds. There was a lock on the inside for the door.

"Well, it looks not bad," Lop said "And we can lock the door which should help right?"

"Yes, it should be much safer," Richtor said.

Lop sat on one of the beds, and put her bags down.

Ricthor flopped down on the other one.

"Ah, it's nice to not to have to sleep on the ground."

"Yeah, it is," Lop said glancing around the interior of the shed.

You notice a few cobwebs.

"I guess this place isn't used often," Lop said "Maybe a base for hunters or something?" she speculated.

"Perhaps," Victoria said. "It could be some sort of safe lodging for certain travelers with the walking dead."

"That does make sense," Lop said "Camping out isn't the safest, if you could have a zombie pay a visit."

"It would be nice if we had a key though," Richtor said.

Lop stood up, "Well let's have a quick look, Outside first I think," she suggested "Someone coming here would have to be be able to get in."

You don't notice anything. You do find a dagger in a hole under the small shelter.

Lop picks up the dagger to examine it.

There was a gem in the hilt, but other than that it seemed rather plain.

Lop showed it to the others, "No key, but I did find this," she said.

"That's interesting," Richtor said. "I'll see if it's magic, if you don't mind."

Lop nodded and handed over the knife "Of course," she said.

Ricjtor took the knife and began casting his ritual in the very small hut.

While Richtor was working Lop began to search the inside of the hut.

There doesn't appear to be anything on the inside.

Lop returned to the bed she had claimed and sat down on it, and started to look through her packs for some food to prepare dinner for the group.

You found a few options. Some decent veggies and dried meats.

Lop started working on putting a meal together, humming as she did so.

It's going well, the food is coming along well when Richtor finishes his ritual.

"It is magical."

Lop nods "Do you know what it does?" she asks as she begins to serve up the food.

"Well, it seems to be strong against the undead," Richtor said.

"Could be useful," Lop said "Why don't you keep it?"

"If you're fine with it," Richtor said.

Lop nods "I like my weapon as it is," she explained "using a dagger would be very strange."

"Thanks," Richtor said.

"Food's ready as well" Lop said handing out the plates to Richtor and Victoria.

"It smells good," Victoria said as they dug in.

"If we can't find a key, we might just have to move one of the beds against the door," Lop suggested as she ate.

"Hmm. A good idea," Victoria said.

Lop finished her food and the ask Victoria to help her move one of the beds.

The two of you are able t move it without difficulty.

"Right," Lop said "That should make us a bit more secure."

"Yes. Shall we turn in?" Victoria asked.

"I've got no other plans," Lop said. "So I think that's a good idea."

The three of you turned in and soon it was morning.

Lop gets stretching and yawning, "That was better than being out in the elements," she said.

Victoria and Richtor were slowly waking up.

"Morning," Lop greeted them.

The two of them greeted you back.

"I'm getting used to these," Richtor said.

"Used to what?" Lop asked.

"This nice little rooms by the side of the road," Richtor said. "Much nicer than camping out."

"Ah, right," Lop said "Yeah that's true."

"A shame they'll go away one we make it out of this country," Richtor said.

Lop laughed "Very true, I suppose on that note we should great breakfast and start moving."

"Sure," Victoria said as she headed outside to start a fire.

Lop headed out to help Victoria.

The two of you were able to get a fire going without issue.

"Need a hand with anything else?" Lop asked.

"It's alright, I'm just doing some bacon and prepping some dried fruit," Victoria said.

Lop nodded "Okay then," she said.

"How are you doing?" Victoria asked.

Lop considered that before replying "Okay, I think but I wonder what horror awaits us further down the road."

"We're not out of the country yet, so there might be more undead," Victoria said.

"Right," Lop said "Well as long as it's just zombies it shouldn't be too bad."

"True," Victoria said.

Lop found a log nearby to sit and wait for breakfast.

Breakfast was soon ready.

"Smells wonderful," Lop said.

"Thanks, let's finish this and get back on the road," Victoria said.

Lop nodded and began to eat the food.

The group ate and was soon back on the road.

Victoria looked up.

"Head's up she said."

Lop looked to see what Victoria had spotted.

There was a group of shambling figures headed towards you.

"Wonderful, think we can go round them?" Lop asked.

"Probably," Richtor said. "They'll likely follow us."

"Well I guess if they are going to follow us anyway, then we means well take care of them now," Lop said.

Lop moved forward and attacks the nearest Zombie.

You struck the zombie deeply, it's dead eyes look at you and swings back, missing. Richtor put and arrow in the thing's head and that put it down. Victoria took down another as the zombies shamble closer.

Lop moved towards the next zombie and stuck at it.

You strike another zombie, that with the efforts of Victoria and Richtor goes down. The rest manage to reach you and attack.

Lop side steps and then slashes at an attacking Zombie.

She then leaps away from the zombie and puts some distance between her and the horde.

You put down one the zombies as your party puts down another. The remaining zombies closed in and attacked.

Lop attacks another of the zombies.

The party managed to take down another zombie, leaving two zombies remaining.

Lop pointeed her blade at the next zombie and fired an eldritch blast at it.

Victoria then smashed it down with a swing of her heavy sword as Richtor shot the last zombie with an arrow that sticks in it's head. The zombie shambled towards him and missed an attack with its arms.

Lop moves up to help Richtor and slashes at the zombie's head.

The zombie falls and the swarm has been dealt with.

Lop looks about for a moment and then relaxes "Well that was tougher than I expected," she said.

"At least they've been dealt with," Richtor said.

"Yeah," Lop agreed "I guess the road should be clear for a bit>"

"Hopefully," Victoria said.

"Shall we continue then?" Lop asked.

The group continued on the road.

There appeared to be nothing as you walked, eventually finding another small shed like building as the sun began to set.

Lop gestured to the shed, "Looks like the next rest point ahead," she said.

"I'm on it," Richtor said, picking the lock.

Lop kept a lookout as Richtor worked.

There didn't seem to be anything around, other than the expected animals.

Lop relaxed slightly when the door was unlocked.

"Think we'll find any treasure this time?" Richtor asked.

"Be nice if we did," Lop said.

"Let's check it out," Richtor said as he opened the door. It appeared to be like every other one you have been in so far.

Lop gave the room a search.

There doesn't appear to be anything special about this one.

"I can't see anything," Lop said "I guess we were lucky last time."

"Ah well," Richtor said.

"Same as before then? Move a bed to block the door?" Lop asjed.

Victoria did so.

Lop put her things down and flopped on a bed.

"Tired?" Victoria asked.

"A bit," Lop said "Those zombies we're a bit more of a handful than I expected."

"The do tend to overwhelm you with numbers," Victoria said.

"Yeah, I'll remember next time," Lop said.

"We should be out of here soon," Victoria said. "Hopefully there will be no more of them."

"That will be nice," Lop said "I feel sorry for the people in this land, it must be hard to live with the constant fear of the dead coming for you."

"Perhaps, they did seem to be more afraid of the ruler," Victoria said.

"Which is a whole different kind of worrying," Lop said "But I guess we'll find out more as we travel further along."

"Indeed, but for now, we get to relax," Richtor said.

"True," Lop said and sat up and picked up her journal and began to write in it.

The next time you looked up, Richtor was already asleep and Victoria was shaking her head.

Lop carefully put her journal away "I guess that's probably a good sign we should turn in," she said with a wry smile.

"Yes, let's turn in," Victoria said.

You awaken to the sound of pounding.

Lop wakes up and looks to see where the pounding was coming from.

It was the wall closest to you.

Lop moved towards the window to see if she could see what was causing the noise.

It appeared to be a solitary undead man.

Lop sighs and then Misty Steps outside, her blade ready.

The thing hasn't seen you.

Lop attacks it with a slash from behind.

You cut its head off and it fell to the ground.

Lop moved forward to examine the thing.

Just another zombie, it appears.

Lop sighed and then misty stepped back into the shed.

"Another one?" Richtor asked.

"Yeah, a zombie," Lop said "Just the one though, which was sort of odd."

"Yes, we should eat and then get going," Richtor said.

Lop nodded "Good plan," she said.

Victoria headed out to start a fire.

Lop headed out and kept watch.

There didn't seem to be any more undead and soon Victoria had a roaring campfire.

"Need help?" Lop asked.

"If you want to help out," Victoria said.

"I don't mind," Lop said.

"Then watch the bacon, please," Victoria said.

Lop kept an eye on the Bacon.

The food was quickly ready.

Lop helped to serve the food, and then found somewhere to perch and eat.

Everyone ate and soon packed up and ready to move.

"We should be out of the country soon," Victoria said.

"That will be good," Lop said "This place is wearing on the nerves."

"Let's get going then," Richtor said.

Lop nodded and got ready for the road.

Soon enough you were back on the road.

Lop kept an eye out as the group walked "What is the next realm like?"" she asked.

"Quite compared to this one," Victoria said.

"That will be a relief," Lop said "I'll be happy if we can go a while without seeing another zombie."

"Yes, it will be a nice break," Victoria said.

Lop kept an eye out as they walked.

You don't notice anything as the hours pass and soon Victoria stops.

"We're through, thank the gods."

Lop nods "That's good. So were are we now?"

"Lamordia from the looks of it," Victoria said. "We should be near the coast."

"Should we head for a town then?" Lop asked.

"We should, but we might have a night of camping if luck's not on our side," Richtor said.
