RPGs are a social activity and as such there is a need to define an agreement between the different participants.

As a player you understand that:

• This a sandbox game, you need to be proactive and not wait for a story to drop to your lap.
• The game world is cruel and unforgiving, there is no guarantee the encounters you'd face would match your power level. Running away and surrendering are always an option.
• The world is neither good nor evil, there are no tangible game rewards for acting good or bad.
• Bad thing might happen to your character, your character might die (or become unplayable) its a cruel world and shit happens.
• This is a sandbox game based on the concept of emergent story from randomness - which mean I generate the setting randomly.
• The game is set in a tailored homebrewed fantasy setting, there are no elves, dwarves and other motifs from the regular fantasy trope. Any conclusion you make IC or OOC about the world based on previous experience with a fantasy setting is on you and you alone.
• This game is a partial black-box game, it hides some of the mechanics in order to let us focus on the important bit which is the game fiction.

As a player and a human being you promise to:

• Be civil and polite to the other players and the GM.
• We are all here to have fun, respect that other people has the right to have fun as well.
• This is a text base platform, respect it, please minimize one-liner posts.
• Accept that in any situation my word is final, you can discuss but don't turn it to argument or bickering.
• If you are in an action scene with other players, please keep the posting rate at 1/day. Understand that after 24 hours I retain the right to act in your behalf (on rare occasions) or simply move the action forward.
• If you need to leave please try to give me a head-sup.

As the GM I am promising to:

• Always be fair and impartial.
• Keep this game up and running for as long as we are all interested in.
• This is a collaborative game, I'll take your input and when possible add it to the game.
• The world can be cruel, harsh and mean, I'll give you signs and clues when you are heading towards things over your power grade.
• Try to make this an interesting game for us all.

If you are cool with the pact just say so in your RTJ.
