The first thing you need to do is discuss with me your character concept.

Please take the following into consideration:

Your character is a human.
Your character is a young adult (age 17-21).
Your character is a regular person (no military, criminal or other kind of training)
There is no magic in the world. Your character may believe they have magic but they have none.
Your character can be from the contemporary era but maybe from any other historical era.
Please tell me a little about your character, their background, history aspiration.
Please tell me how your character heard about the portal, what is the portal appearance (location, shape, materials and special effects).

Have all that figured out, just a few more things.

What are your expectations from the PC, do you want to see it grows into a great warrior, wizard, something else?

What are your comfort zones, what are your limits, things you don't want to see in a game.

Anything else you want to add about yourself.
