Init 14.  Casting Armor of Agathys.

A bandit charged you, swinging a sword that slashed at you, and cried out in pain. The rest of the party was suddenly in a huge brawl with the weaponless bandits surging forward.

(OOC: Take 6 damage and go)

The bandit just took 15 Cold damage, and Yasmin's armor is reduced to 9 HP.  Anyone who strikes her in melee while it remains still takes 15 damage.

"Fools, all of you," said Yasmin.  She stepped clear of the melee-- let them attack her while she was vulnerable if they dared!-- and rained blasts of power down upon the bandits!

Eldritch Blast!  13 and 25 to hit; damage is 9 and 8 but the first one that hits does an additional 3 Bludgeoning, so damage is from 11-20.

"She's a magic user! Get her!" on of the bandits shouted.

(OOC: They missed.)

Yasmin continued to blast at them...

22:06, Today: Yasmin al-Sakhra rolled 12,16 using 1d20+8,1d20+8 ((4,8)).  Maybe one hit for 16 damage

The blast took the bandit down, that combined with the damage done by your teammates cause the bandits to throw down what weapons you have.

"Fine, fine. We give," the leader said.

"Was anyone hurt?" Yasmin asked, ready to attack again if necessary.

"Seems we're fine," Oscar said.

"Then let's bind them and make sure the mines are clear," said Yasmin.  "There might be others lurking."

Soon the bandits were tied up.

"It goes deeper," Zylina said to you.

"Then let's go in," said Yasmin.  "We'll take no chances."

"Ah, we had better get a torch for the weak humans," Oscar said with a wink.

"Or a spell of light, I suppose," said Yasmin.  She was more or less human... but darkness was no obstacle to her.

"Shouldn't make jokes, you're not good at them," Zylna said as she cast light on Oscar's weapon.

Oscar just sighed.

Yasmin advanced into the mine, looking for threats in the darkness.

There was nothing so far, just some steady dripping water.

Yasmin continued in.  No point taking chances...

"What do you think lives deep in here?" Maria asked.

"I'm not sure," said Yasmin.  "One hears stories of all kinds of things-- strange aberrations, living stalactites, dark elves..."

"That could be really exciting," Maria said.

"Yes, but also dangerous," said Yasmin.  "Let us proceed with care..."

She went further in.

You can start to see silver veins in the mine walls as you go deeper and deeper.

"Well, it's good to see the mines aren't played out," said Yasmin, going deeper.
