Re: Character Discussion/Creation
I'm glad everyone's characters are coming to completion. I'm looking forward to starting the game.
Also, I don't need to vet your characters. I'll give them a once over, if you ask for it, but I'm sure you'll work within the rules of the game. This is, after all, a game and we're doing it to have fun. If it comes out that someone is fudging some numbers or some rules or whatever, and it makes the game less fun for the rest, that player will be asked to leave. This is an old game system; we are all familiar with the rules to one degree or another. Let's make sure and have fun and tell a cool story!
Another point: As the GM, I will not be beholden to character creation rules. I'll be pulling from Monster Manuals, as well as throwing numbers together to create interesting creature challenges. Especially with such powerful characters, I do not have time or energy to spend two hours creating a Badass 3/Ass Beater 1/Dumbass 2 who winds up lasting a single encounter. My goal is to make it fun and, to a degree, challenging. So, you won't need to be analyzing what class/template/PrC combo your opponents have; they likely won't be that organized.
I think that's all I needed to state, at the moment. These things might seem self-explanatory to some or all of you, but I think it's better to declare it up front and be clear, than to try and deal with misunderstandings and hurt feelings, later.
*Whew*!
