Leaning heavily in the direction of Monk, Open Hand at 3rd lvl. Would like to see what any others might be playing, though.

In reply to Tortle (msg # 2):

Sounds good to me.  I sent a message to the person asking about playing a Harengon and also posted in the players wanted forum.

Wow, lots of interest in the game.  Far too many to read and respond to this evening but hopefully some/all will see this: I'll get back to you tomorrow!

Open Hand. I really like the Mercy monk. I played a kenku with the UA version of way of mercy. I like the rewrite in tasha's

Finished character creation. Do you want us to use a particular sheet, or is DnD Beyond good?

D&D Beyond is fine.  I'm not picky about character sheets.  Even just typing in the basics into the rpol sheet is fine.  I'll unlock all of your sheets now.

Re: OOC

I'll get some more info out to you tomorrow.  In the meantime, if you would like to discuss how your characters all know each other this is a good time for it.  I'm not into contriving situations on bringing characters together so from an in-game standpoint you already know each other.  If you folks settle on reasons why you're out adventuring together that's great.  If you don't, that's fine too.  We'll just never mention or make relevant as to why you're all together.

Re: OOC

Well my backstory is I'm a wandering former soldier haunted by war.
I did and saw some things fighting against orcs that give me nightmares occasionally.

I probably was either serving with or stationed near an Elven community as I can speak Elven.

My characters on a journey to experience and obtain the goal to be a famous dancer. She's definitely okay with having anybody as a traveling companion, she is a Bard after all.

Re: OOC

Neah, is Elven nobility of the reclusive high Elves. She is running away from family and obligations and an arranged marriage. She might have run into Bannir on the outskirts of her lands. He could either have taken pity on her, walking somewhat dangerous roads alone, or she could have seen the need for security and either paid him for protection or asked if he wanted to come along (with the prospect of treasure and adventure). What do you think?

On the road, the two could have come across Lita and found even more safety in numbers. While not at all proficient, Neah appreciates performing arts. In spite of the High Elven way of seeming aloof, she would surely take a liking to Lita. A few days on the road and in camps for the night, might be enough to initiate some budding friendships.

Would love to hear more from the other characters!

Re: OOC

Bannir met Neah first on the edges of elven lands, he joined the elven lady in her travels to safeguard her and later met the dancer and a fellow sparring partner.

Re: OOC

Heh, I'm liking it so far. One thing to note at though is Lita is a very bad dancer except for ones involving swords. Since birth, she was an expert in cutting and carving wood, almost to an art form. All that natural talent has made her pretty good at swordsmanship.

Just don't expect her to do a dance you like, she'll probably cause nothing but a path of destruction.

Re: OOC

Maybe I’ll be a hermit around those lands that Bannir would visit with and talk philosophy, engage is tests of agility and athleticism, and the board game Weiqui (Go), which I would always lose. Maybe Bannir would make the same joke about running circles around me. Name still undetermined.
