Did we lose Alandria and Xandra?

No we still have them both.

Just curious. Nether one has logged on. Alandria hasn't logged on since the 25 and Xandra hasn't logged on since the 28.

Yes they have. Truth be told,  I have always played as both of them personally.

I'm more concerned with Tauron and Lorn.

I am here.  Sort of waiting for thing to move on as it where.

Ah that make a lot of sense.  Wish I know before hand.  Going to have to rethink Tauron way of doing things.  As on player - player level it does not work if Alandria is the GM.

Don't get me wrong I no problems with that just Tauron need to be little more decisive in his action.  Which will help the game move on.  Give me a week to think things out and find the right motivation for him in the game context.

Why wouldn't it work? Player on player interaction is a dangerous minefield that could easily go wrong, but if the DM is one of the players, it probably would work more smoothly, I'd think.

Either way, I posted so waiting to see what happens next.

Personally I'd rather have everyone be played by another player, and maybe had 1 of them played by the DM but if it works, cool. Think we need more players into the game.

 Yeah, the premise is so hard to add more players into the game. I don't know, I'm not sure I'm feeling it anymore even. This sort of thing happens to all my games. I'm starting to wonder if I should stop trying to DM. I've always been happier as a player.

Not everyone can run a good game. I think you can honestly. But need to focus on the players not 3 other NPCs in the group (or keep them a secret) :) Trust me, I've run several games-not all of them were good. It also depends on the players involved as well. Some add to the storyline.

So what do you find hard about allowing people to join? If they got a good RTJ that you accept, and you get along with them why not!

I think I wrote myself into a corner. By having the party being the previous group, I either have a limited number of heroes to come out of retirement or Rewrite everything and these new players are the real legends and we ignore the previous ones.

Could say Alandra didn't exist, same as Xandra. Or use Alandra.

There could be others coming out of retirement but we haven't met them.

Keep it simple:

Perhaps the scholor is looking for adventures to stop a evil but not sure if its even evil? Perhaps we aren't retired adventurers but people who are just ordinary people that are in the liniage of retired adventers. Or like a copy, perhaps someone choose us to go on the adventerer..

You could try to ask if anybody is willing to take on these characters.  I have done this in the past and it can work.  As we just started you and new player can work out detail and change a few things to fit the new player.

I also work out a little background adjustment.  Seems Tauron daughter going to have a major honk bad dad, honk bad dad.  Talk to Tauron and he is going be a lot more motivated and will start taking the lead in things.

Lastly maybe we can swap a player in and out over the night.  We could say their is two volts.
Then we need two groups.  New players could join and we split into active character with player and non active ones.

So if we put a call out for new players and see if we can slot them in.  We just need 1-2 more and we be good to go.

Did we lose Lorn?

 Lorn contacted me and said that a combination of being busy with family things and my response to his time of day question being "I don't know, when do you need it to be?" Taking him out of the immersion has kept him from posting lately.

 I have to contemplate those options and my habit of sabotaging my own games apparently and see what I'm going to do next.

Well it is a simple question :)

Having 2+ character you run with a group doesn't help but anyone is possible. Honestly, I'd say open up looking for new members, keel Alandra and remove all other NPC other then the scholar. Perhaps we were hired to go with the scholor to check out some things at the vault.

Maybe we were reincarnaded from old adventurers. Having a level 1 be a retired adventurer doesn't make sense but that's just my view on it :)

 I meant to say something sooner and kept getting busy.

 I had been thinking about this for a while and I feel I have screwed this particular game up too much when the premise was already fragile to begin with.

 Couple that with my bouts of depression and I don't think I can continue this game or even want to DM anymore, at least for a while.

 I want to thank you for bearing with me for so long and having the patience of saints. You have been very supportive and I am grateful.

 I will be closing the game soon, unless any of you want to take a whack at it, in which case I will be more than happy to hand the reigns over to you.
