It is indeed a difficult choice, leave the child with others or protect him yourself and face danger. Either way, you might loose him. Either his love to others or his life to adventuring. A twenty year old elven child would be the same as a 3 year old human child by my reckoning.

 We have our last player, an Android Bard who may have ended up in prison due to a misunderstanding or perhaps a new addition who remembers the epic tales of the heroes in the past and wants to join the group to sing tales of this new adventure. Who knows? I'll have to see what he comes up with.

Anyway, you guys have all the time in the world to get ready, no rush.

Interesting question. Can a android become a Dragon Disciple?

Thinking its the same guy that went on the mission but he believes its the next day after he 'awoke' but its been 20 years.

Well that throws an interesting spanner in the works.  But I am not going to get upset or step on another characters history.
It does mean your are going to have more idea of who the swan is than anybody else.
This is going to be odd.

You would not totally recognize the swan as Tuaron as his shape and size has changes over time but you think it maybe one of the animal friends Tauron use to talk to.  The druid spent a lot of time talking to animals.

Well how would I know he's a swan? Indeed I would know he has animal friends but probably not know he's the swan :) Plus if he is the swan, why not change and open the door? Lots of stuff happened and of course being 'new' to emotions it'll be very interesting, specially of course when he sees his friends again!

 I'm going to give Feren a bit more time, but She has not even logged in in over a week, so It's starting to look like we lost her. I can make a NPC to replace her if needed and we can get started without too much trouble.

Nope. Androids don't age I believe. So he looks like he's probably 20ish.  Hence waking up, beliving its the next day and going to the usual gathering spot only to see everyone age (minus the elf). So no time has passed in his eyes.

Hi Zaigan the Serene.

Respect the fact you asking me in OOC:
When Tauron left as a swan he was young looking and leaner.
The last 20 year he lead a king swan life.  So he a lot bigger.  More powerful.
His feathers have developed more and he become a lot more bolshy than the easy going Druid he was.


However if anybody looks closely or studies him for a while they will see the old Tauron.

How you call him has an important aspect to it but I cannot say more (it give to much away).

So ask question if you wish.

Some games move in waves and as long as the players and GM stick with it then thing can work out.

In one of my best games on this site the GM twice has had 6 month brake only for game take off again with great speed and fun for all.

Think we lost Xandra as well but could be wrong. December is a tough time!

I think as players we need to work out who was the party leader(s).
Tauron was never designed to be leader more a helper.  It seems with his memory problems Zall not leader either.

I mean I could turn Tauron into leader but would be very odd development and it would be better is something else came do so?

THink Alandra or Lorn is the best bet?

Zall definatly isn't a leader type.

Probably for the best, I can post so infrequently that Lorn is probably a much better leader.

If you don't mind.  I will support you and help move things along it just Tauron is not a natural leader.

Zall doesn't take orders well. If asked to do something, he'll probably do it if he agrees. I'm thinking he just went out with friends and helped them out when he could.

Yes they have. Truth be told,  I have always played as both of them personally.

I'm more concerned with Tauron and Lorn.

Ah that make a lot of sense.  Wish I know before hand.  Going to have to rethink Tauron way of doing things.  As on player - player level it does not work if Alandria is the GM.

Don't get me wrong I no problems with that just Tauron need to be little more decisive in his action.  Which will help the game move on.  Give me a week to think things out and find the right motivation for him in the game context.

Why wouldn't it work? Player on player interaction is a dangerous minefield that could easily go wrong, but if the DM is one of the players, it probably would work more smoothly, I'd think.

Personally I'd rather have everyone be played by another player, and maybe had 1 of them played by the DM but if it works, cool. Think we need more players into the game.

 Yeah, the premise is so hard to add more players into the game. I don't know, I'm not sure I'm feeling it anymore even. This sort of thing happens to all my games. I'm starting to wonder if I should stop trying to DM. I've always been happier as a player.

Not everyone can run a good game. I think you can honestly. But need to focus on the players not 3 other NPCs in the group (or keep them a secret) :) Trust me, I've run several games-not all of them were good. It also depends on the players involved as well. Some add to the storyline.

So what do you find hard about allowing people to join? If they got a good RTJ that you accept, and you get along with them why not!

I think I wrote myself into a corner. By having the party being the previous group, I either have a limited number of heroes to come out of retirement or Rewrite everything and these new players are the real legends and we ignore the previous ones.

Could say Alandra didn't exist, same as Xandra. Or use Alandra.

There could be others coming out of retirement but we haven't met them.

Keep it simple:

Perhaps the scholor is looking for adventures to stop a evil but not sure if its even evil? Perhaps we aren't retired adventurers but people who are just ordinary people that are in the liniage of retired adventers. Or like a copy, perhaps someone choose us to go on the adventerer..

You could try to ask if anybody is willing to take on these characters.  I have done this in the past and it can work.  As we just started you and new player can work out detail and change a few things to fit the new player.

I also work out a little background adjustment.  Seems Tauron daughter going to have a major honk bad dad, honk bad dad.  Talk to Tauron and he is going be a lot more motivated and will start taking the lead in things.

Lastly maybe we can swap a player in and out over the night.  We could say their is two volts.
Then we need two groups.  New players could join and we split into active character with player and non active ones.

So if we put a call out for new players and see if we can slot them in.  We just need 1-2 more and we be good to go.

Did we lose Lorn?

 Lorn contacted me and said that a combination of being busy with family things and my response to his time of day question being "I don't know, when do you need it to be?" Taking him out of the immersion has kept him from posting lately.

 I have to contemplate those options and my habit of sabotaging my own games apparently and see what I'm going to do next.

Well it is a simple question :)

Having 2+ character you run with a group doesn't help but anyone is possible. Honestly, I'd say open up looking for new members, keel Alandra and remove all other NPC other then the scholar. Perhaps we were hired to go with the scholor to check out some things at the vault.

Maybe we were reincarnaded from old adventurers. Having a level 1 be a retired adventurer doesn't make sense but that's just my view on it :)

 I meant to say something sooner and kept getting busy.

 I had been thinking about this for a while and I feel I have screwed this particular game up too much when the premise was already fragile to begin with.

 Couple that with my bouts of depression and I don't think I can continue this game or even want to DM anymore, at least for a while.

 I want to thank you for bearing with me for so long and having the patience of saints. You have been very supportive and I am grateful.

 I will be closing the game soon, unless any of you want to take a whack at it, in which case I will be more than happy to hand the reigns over to you.
