What would we be without rules? Dead, probably. I mean, if it were just unhinged, 24/7 anarchy then some asshole would have probably 86'd one of my ancestors by now. Anyways, this is where I'll be dumping a combination of general rules for my PbP games and then House Rules for this specific game.

  • Don't be a dick out of character. Tensions fly, shit hits the fan and sometimes it genuinely is someone else that gets your character maimed/killed/swallowed by an eldritch horror, etc. Still, it's ultimately a game and there's no reason to be an asshat to other players or me because things aren't working out.
  • Don't metagame. Yes, I'll largely be using content directly pulled from the various Saga Edition books for enemies, traps and such and there will also be the occasional character reference should you survive rebelling against the Empire, but that doesn't mean you should be allowed to use out-of-character knowledge to influence encounters/actions.
  • I will be posting every Monday, some time between 2 and 6 PM Pacific standard time. I might post more often, but the standard I'm setting for myself is once on that day. If that's too slow for you please, don't apply. You'll just ruin it for yourself and provide an extra hurdle for the rest of us when you leave.
  • To show you read all of the rules, ... just kidding, I always hated those clauses in these things.

  • Skill Re-Focus: Skill focus will grant a bonus equal to half your total character level, rounded up. (e.g. Level 1-2, +1; Levels 3-4, +2; etc.)
  • Athleticism NOW: Climb, Jump and Swim are combined into a Athletics. Jedi, Scouts and Soldiers have Athletics as a class skill. Bonuses to climbing, jumping or swimming from race, gear or other sources apply only to that specific use of the Athletics skill.
  • Oh, Stunning: Ion damage bypasses damage reduction for the purpose of exceeding damage thresholds. Ion damage also reduces shield ratings by 10.
  • No Crypto Hobos: Wealth is banned, you're laborers/criminals not wealthy socialites.
  • Reading the Holonet isn't a Skill: Gather Information is now a function of Persuasion or Use Computer. Any bonus given to Gather Information is instead given to that specific use of Persuasion or Use Computer. If granted Skill Training: Gather Information you instead gain skill training in either Persuasion or Use Computer.
  • We're Not Idiots: Every character has a bonus trained Knowledge skill.
  • No Divergent Programing: Droids that Reprogram skills must replace their old skill with a skill on their list of class skills.
  • Mind Tricks Don't Work on me, Only Money: Haggling is an Opposed skill check. Every 5 points by which you beat the DC increases sell value by 10% and decreases the cost of purchases by 10%. The inverse is true as well, should you roll low or try and bargain with a particularly grumpy/impatient merchant.
  • I Know a few Maneuvers: Every 5 points of total Pilot modifier grants a Starship Maneuver. If the Pilot skill is not a trained skill the maneuver must have the [Gunner] descriptor.
  • These Hands are Deadly Weapons: Taking the Martial Arts feat immediately grants a Martial Arts Training feat. As well, all unarmed damage from a martial artist does (undivided) stun damage.
  • Please, No 1's: When rolling hit points, if you roll below average for your hit die you instead take the average. (E.g. if your Hit Die is 1d10, you roll a 1,2,3 or 4 you would count them as a 5 instead.)
  • Add it to Lucas' Hand Collection: Whenever a player character takes fatal damage they may instead roll a d10. On a roll of 1-2 or 3-4 they would lose their left hand or right hand (respectively), 5-6 or 7-8 would take feet similarly, while 9 would result in internal organ damage and 10 would be cranial damage. These wounds result in varying Persistent Conditions until cybernetic surgery is performed.
