One clarification regarding what was said above:

Technically, it's true, especially in regards to the QS, where no separate stats for weapons are given. It's worth noting, though, that the number of Challenge Dice ("special" d6 the game uses) is actually a sum of base weapon damage and a character's Damage Bonus (which equals the Security value). So, when shooting her phaser, Bianca rolls 4d6, as she uses Phaser Type 1 (2d6) and has Security 2. Shremi rolls 7d6, as she uses Phaser Type 2 (3d6) and has Security 4.
