I don't have the rulebook, only the quickstart, so I have absolutely no way to check if a character is correct. Looking like one of the premade characters is ok.

You will be an away team... but nothing is said about the ranks, but definetly no captain right now. Most episodes are about officiers, so ensign/lieutenant.

I find it weird how the adventure is played, normally at the start of each episode they throw up a moral dilemma, and by the end there is a conclusion or left hanging, but here it's just beam down and kill everything. Usually, RPGs show their best sides in their quickstarts.

I think it won't be fast, since we post at different times. You must be somewhere east America, I presume?

I don't know about Bianca, but I'm in Poland :)

Question: if I have the books, can I make a character using the rules there? Assuming there's nothing in the character write-up that is not covered by the QS rules?

You can create your character from the book, the strength should be similar to the pregen characters.

Now there are two characters. How many do you want to start the adventure?

Sorry for being absent! The last week was... weird, irregular and busy.

Please don't give on me - I plan on creating my character in the next few days. Then we can start!

Next week I'll be away for work, with unlikely access to internet.

How about our characters? what is our role on the spaceship?

The quickstart adventure actually does not have any role on a starship - which is rare in the Trek series - it's only noted that the captain sent down the away team, which is mostly the player characters - however, to uphold rpg traditions, and have some common sense, you two will be in charge of the away team.

How about we aim for November 22. for the start? I will have to leave early December, but I don't know the exact week yet.

The nearest Monday, that is? Sure, let's try that. I know I'm lagging a bit behind, but I think I'll be ready then.

Once again, sorry for being sparse. These last two weeks were a bit irregular, plus I was also creating that character for a Star Wars game and it turned out to be more involving than I anticipated. But I'm out of the woods now and I can focus on our game here.
