No.

I explained very simply, any AoE spell will hit an ally.

I feel like I get an argument whenever I make a ruling.

If we were at a table it would take us 20 seconds to figure out positioning and your AoE spell would not present a challenge at all. But because this is pbp I want to shortcut all of that, as well as provide more of a challenge, so please just let me be the DM and accept the difficulty.

Are we doing the criticals the way you posted, or the 5e version? I am not arguing, but the way I rolled damage was via the 5e version. If you want, I can change it to the other version, but I am willing to do less damage. Personally I think the 5e method is a bit more fair to everyone, PCs and NPCs, but its totally your call of course.

Up to you. I have been nerfing any npc crits because I'm not a tyrant, but sometimes as a player I roll that double crit and just get 1,2,1,1.

I went ahead and added the disguise kit to my inventory. But if anyone else thinks they might have even a slight use for it, please feel free to claim it. I doubt I will ever use it for anything other than roleplay flavor, but I can at least act as the party pack mule.

I would. But flesh golems are dangerous, so we need to research its command word via its physical make up or find a way to dismantle it safely.
