All characters will start at level 1, and be created using just the Core PHB.  I may open it up to supplements in the future, but we'll stick with core for now.  Use the standard array of 15, 14, 13, 12, 10, 8.

Because this is a sandbox game, entry won't be based on number of requests, but instead on the quality of your writing.  I also don't plan on closing this game to new PCs unless the sheer volume of players gets overwhelming.  In other words, even if you join months after this game was opened, you still stand the same fair chance of being accepted.

Don't feel like you need to build your full character until you're accepted.  Instead, send over the following info:

By "brief", think a paragraph for your PC's physical description, and a couple paragraphs for the backstory (including how they ended up in the starting locale of Nysana, a large port city).  I'll ask for more backstory if you're accepted.  For now, think of these three paragraphs as a way to show off your writing style, since that's truly what I'm most interested in for players.

There isn't any specific lore you need to be aware of.  This will very much be a "play to find out" world.  For now, assume that what you need for your backstory is feasible, and we'll adjust if necessary to calibrate.
