Please do not send me a character sheet in an RTJ.

 Instead, I want to see roughly 2 paragraphs regarding your character concept (if you have multiples and want to talk about them, that's fine, but ultimately I want to know about who the character is, not what they can do).

 One of the biggest things is how, when, and why did this character come to Threshold. Immigrating to Threshold is not cheap so anyone who comes here has done so for a reason. It could be that you were born here or you came with your parents. Those are acceptable answers as well, especially if your character is young.

 Characters begin at level 1 with 40 Discretionary Character Points.

 You get maximum hp at each level. Further, Feats are gained at level 1, 3, 5, and on each odd level thereafter.


 The Discretionary Character Points are not used to purchase your character's race. Instead, they are used to purchase Ability Scores, Attributes, and Feats.

 Ability Scores start at 8 and are increased at a rate of +2 per 1 Character Point (to a maximum of 20 at 1st level). Note: If you are playing a Gorm, this is BEFORE the racial bonuses are added.

 If you want additional skills, the "Highly Skilled" attribute will be what you take.

 If you want an additional feat, it costs 2 character points.

 In order to get more "meat" on the characters and get them better fleshed out, I'm granting Background points.

Where does he or she live?
Work?
Earn money?
What are your character’s likes?
Dislikes?
What about family?
Friends?
Romantic interests?
Enemies?
Any other relevant information?

 Players will be given between 2 and 6 Background points based on the length and detail of their answers to these questions.

 Players who expand their background story into something detailed and enjoyable to read will get 2 extra.

 Finally, having both a picture for your character and a theme song picked out will get 2 more.
