Dei headed there.

It doesn't take long to find it's a fairly large 2 story structure with a faded sign of an orc jaw with one fang missing, as you approach a large gnoll steps out, towering over Dei and blocks her path.

It let's out a giggling yip before speaking "What want? You not from round here"

"Is that gonna be a problem, hon?" Dei asked.

The gnoll laughed "No trouble for Gnarl. For you lots trouble mebbie"

"I can handle myself," Dei said.

The gnoll rises to its full height and snarls "You no welcome. go now" and looked as if it might accompany the words with a blow, when a cultured voice calls out.

"Now, now Gnarl. No need to be rude to our guest. Please allow Ms Scamiglione to pass"

Gnarl looks over his shoulder then back at Dei "Boss says you pass" and stands aside with a mutinous look on its face.

"I'm surprised my reputation precedes me," Dei said as she went in.

You walk into the inn and see a dapperly dressed male shifter lounging at a table his boots on the table and his chair rocked back. "Your exploits are becoming quite well known, especailly after you made an enemy of House Tarkanan"

Other small groups of indivudals of a wide variety of races occupy other tables, but seemingly ignore you as you walk in. Standing just behind the shifter you see an armoured female harpy who watches you coldly as you approach.

"Please sit" the shifter says indicating a chair "And tell me what brings such a delightful presence to my humble abode"

"Well, I'm lookin' into a murder of someone that was workin' for ya for a bit," Dei said. "Though there's some conflictin' evidence that makes it look like Tarkanan's did it. That weird eye symbol isn't yours, is it?"

"Straight to business. I respect that" The shifter laughed "You can call me Azok by the way, and my silent friend here is Cazha" he takes his feet off the table and leans forward "As to you question. He did work for us for a bit, and yes that is our symbol" he spread his hands "It's in our name after all"

"I'll say it's awful close to the one Tarkanan uses," Dei said. "Then that means one of ya left a token on my dresser. Why?"

"Ah well everyone is an art critic it seems" Azok said with a deep rumbling laugh "I'd say we have more ownership of it though. Dassk does mean 'The monsters eyes' as you should know" as to the token "Yes, we did. It was to let you know you are not alone in this place"

"Would ya mind sharin' what dragonblood is?" Dei asked.

"Oh ho" Azok smirked "Wanting a power boost are we? It's a specialty product. Gives your arcane powers a big old boost"

"Nah, found a note from a murder victim that mentioned it. I was wondering what it was," Dei said.

"A murder?" Azok looked shocked "Surely you don't think honest business men like ourselves were involved"

"Someone did decide to paint your symbol on the wall in the victim's blood," Dei said.

"That's truly awful" Azok said "So you came here to warn us? It's truly good that you came to warn us"

Dei sighed.

"This is how we're gonna do this?"

Azok shrugged "I'd prefer if you just got up and left. I have no quarrel with you. We are brethren of a sort after all"

"Meanwhile, I find this case a little on the personal side," Dei said.

"That's unfortunate. What would it take to convince you to leave, without something that we'd both regret happening" Azok asked "I really don't want to see you dead, and would prefer we part on reasonable terms"

"I'm not looking to disrupt anythin' ya got goin' on. I just want the killer," Dei said.

"I see" Azok sat and looked at you for a while and then glanced back at the harpy, who cocked her head and the sighed making a go on gesture.

"I can't give you the name unfortunately" he said holding a hand up to forestole any comments from Dei "It wasn't an authorised action you see. Now normally we'd deal with this ourselves. But since you are being so insistant on investigating. I suppose we can leave it to you"

He pulled out a small pair of glasses and perched them on his nose, then pulled out a small leather journal "Now according to my notes here, it was Jakos Delany's gang that had the permission to deal in Dragons Blood in the Fallen district. He's a gnome...mostly" he closed the book and took the glasses off. "That should do it,yes?"

Dei nodded.

"Thank ya," she stood up and left.
