You wake up the next morning to find a letter placed on your dresser.

Dei stumbled over and opened it up.

The letter was written in a fine hand

"Dear Ms Scarmiglione,

Thank you for dealing with our errant employee, it is unfortunate in my line of work that I do have to work along side some rather questionable individuals.

I shall remember your aid, and do in fact owe you a favour."

There was no signature but there was the emblem of the Dassk below it.

Dei headed downstairs to get some food.

As you head down you spot Karesh and Ferg talking at the bar, the warforged waves when you appear "Mornin' Dei, how are ye?""

"A tad hungover," Dei said. "Ya guys?"

"I thought ye looked a wee bit delicate" Old Ferg said appraising Dei "I'm richt as rain" the warforged rumbled.

"I'm good Dei,guess you'll be wanting breakfast? The usual bacon, sausage and eggs?" Asked Karesh.

"Thanks, yer a dear," Dei said.

Karesh headed into the kitchen whistling cheerful to him self as he went.

Ferg looked at Dei and said "Ah heard ye'v bin getting in tro7ble, ye guid?"

"A bit of trouble here and there, but I'm good," Dei said.

"Guid, guid" Ferg said "I Ken you can after yerself, but I wouldn't be wanting to lose a braw singer like yew'

"Thank ya, Ferg," Dei said. "You're real sweet."

Karesh returned with a plate of food and offered Dei a drink "My own hangover cure, don't ask what's in it. You don't want to know " he said as he handed the items over.

"Thank ya kindly," Dei said. "My new partner sure can drink."

"You should bring over some time" Karesh suggested "Be intresting to meet someone that can-" he stopped as a flurry blur flashed onto to the table and meowed at Dei, it looked like the familiar.

It sat its til curled round its feet, staring intently at Dei.

"Ah, hi there," Dei said. "Is somethin' wrong?"

The cat meowed at Dei and fluffed it's tail and then Dei heard a faint voice " My master is gone, but still wish to remain in this world,would you be willing to contract me?"

"Sure? I suppose that'd work," Dei said.

"Good" the familiar said and examined the plate of food being Filching a bit of bacon off the plate.

"Looks like I got myself a familiar," Dei said.

"Or I've got myself a servant" the voice replied between mouthfuls of bacon.

"Yes, but I wasn't sure if the others can hear ya," Dei said.

"They can't" the voice replied "you do seem to have a nice place here, oh you can call me Raz"

Karesh arrived with his own plate and frowned at the cat "Where did this wondering Fleabag come from?" He asked Dei.

"They were the familiar of a client of mine," Dei said.

"Huh" Karesh replied as he sat down "Well just keep them out of the kitchen please"

"I'll do my best," Dei said. "You got that, Raz?"

You heard Raz's voice sigh in your head, but he flipped an ear seemingly in agreement.

"You won't be worryin' about food," Dei said.

"From what I've seen no, neither will I be bored which is probably more important" Ravs replied.

"I guess I do live a kinda excitin' life," Dei said.

"It did seem so" Raz said "So what is your plan for today?"

"It's a day off. I guess I should buy ya some yarn or somethin'," Dei said.

Raz flicked his ears "My excitement knows no bounds" he replied dryly "But a shopping trip could be an intresting diversion I suppose "

"Just how much of a cat are ya?" Dei asked.

"Well I have the form of one" Raz replied "And I suppose some of the habits of them. But I am also a spirit"

"What do ya like to do for fun?" Dei asked.

Raz flirts his tail and replies "Mostly observe you mortals. You really are so fascinating"

"Thank ya kindly, I guess," Dei said. "Come on, let's get some shoppin' done."
