"That's alright, I came here to give ya a gift for havin' been so kind," Dei said, handing the package over.

"For us? But it's you who have been so kind. You gave us our son back" Ms Longfallow said "Well please come in, I'll put the kettle on, least I can do after you've come so far"

"Thank ya kindly," Dei said, heading inside.

Dei was lead inside to the kitchen table and soon a kettle was whistling on the stove "So Dearie, have you been looking after yourself"

"I have been doin' my best," Dei said.

The elderly gnome nodded "That's good" she said as she poured the drinks and sat "I want to thank you again, not just for saving my Danni. But for giving him purpose. He'd given up a lot to help me, and I think he lost his way a bit"

"He's a good boy. He was certainly useful in my last case," Dei said.

Ms Longfallow beams "That's good to hear" she said as she drank and the discussion turned to more general small talk.

"How have the two of you been?" Dei asked.

Ms Longfallow smiles as she replies "We are doing well enough. Life isn't the easiest for us refugees. But we help each other and get by"

"I can certainly understand that," Dei said.

"The alternative could have been a lot worse, a lot of folk never made it out" Ms Longfallow said slowly a distant look in her eyes " Ah look at me getting all mopey, no point in dwelling on what's done"

"Got any good gossip then?" Dei asked.

"Well let's see now. Since you rescued Danni Dragoneyes seems a bit safer, less crime being reported. Although I've heard people saying some gangs are fighting" Ms Longfallow said pursing her lips "Better them killing each other than us normal folk. Oh also someone has been selling things from Cyre trinkets, bottles of spirits.. From what I heard its seemingly all real, seems to good to be true. But folk round here would spend good coin for a reminder of home"

"Have ya tried any of 'em?" Dei asked.

Ms Longfallow shook her head "We've not the coin for such things"

"How much are they chargin' for it?" Dei asked.

"For a bottle of Fire whisky I hear 50 gold. Little objects are sold for similar amounts, larger things for even more" The old gnome sighed "Folk is spending all their savings, someone is making a lot of money"

"I think I should have a chat with them," Dei said. "Taking advantage of people like that."

Ms Longfallow looks worried "Be careful if you do, I can't imagine they'll take kindly to someone interfering with their profits "

"I'll be careful," Dei said. "Don'tcha worry."

It takes a bit of questioning and the spending of some coin on drinks. But you eventually get some clues that the group are operating out of a warehouse in the cogsgate district.
