The next day you have to dash to make it into the office in time, nursing a bit of a hangover. The office seems oddly quiet, with only someone holding the front desk and Flicker themselves present.

The changeling looks up and smiles as you arrive "Are there you are" They said as way of greeting.

"Hey, boss," Dei said. "What cases do we have?"

"We've been asked by the city Council of all people to look into a possible smuggling operation" Flicker said handing over an envelope "Someone is supposedly bringing in Cyrean goods"

"Ah, that's easy enough. I already bought some from them," Dei said. "Well, an underling."

Flicker nods "That will be a help, I think the council wants to know how they are getting the goods in, and maybe the source"

"they're really overchargin' folks too," Dei said.

Flicker shrugged "Unfortunately I doubt the council cares too much, as long as they get thier tax"

"You probably know most of the details" they said handing over some documents.

The documents list some names and the locaof the warehouse you visited, and the details of the council investigations into the source and methods of getting the goods in. Most of which turned up nothing.

"This feels like it could be a dangerous one. There's a lotta money involved," Dei said.

Flicker nods "The council agrees payment is 1,000 gold"

Dei whistled.

"That is a lot of money."

"That it is, so do you want the job?" The changeling replied cheerfully.

"I'll do it, but I need to make some arrangements first," Dei said.

Flicker nodded "Okay then, it's yours. Watch your back, like you said it's a lot of money and I'd rather not have to tell old Ferg I got you killed"

"I'll be doing my best," Dei said, before heading for her partner's home.
