The case of the missing son: High Walls

29 Dravago, 998YK
Breland, Sharn
High Walls District

It takes a little while to get to the address you've been given, the High Walls district was as cramped and busy as you'd expect refugees who had at least some money crammed into the space.

Unfamiliar accents abounded, as people went about thier daily lives. Eventually you locate the address, it's a small apartment in a towerblock, troughs of plants line the walls adding a touch of greenery and life to the dull grey of the stonework of the building.

When you knock there is silence for a moment, but then to door open revealing an older Gnome man with short salt and pepper hair, a matching beard, with a pair of small glasses perched on his nose. "Yes? Can I help you?"

"Oh my, yes please come in" the Gnome gestured you inside the abode and led you to a small kitchen "We don't get many big folk in here, so we'll have to make do" he indicated stool that you could sort of perch on. "Please ask your questions, anything to help find my boy"

"It's fine," Dei said as she did her best to sit. "Now, I'm sure that disappearin' for this long is really out of character for him. Is there anything ya weren't comfortable mentionin' in the report? Does he have any vices like gamblin'?"

"Gambing?" The Gnome repeated "Oh my no, I mean I suppose he does like to drink as much as any young man. But he's been working very hard. You see a little while a go my wife got ill, and well medicine is expensive. So he's been working long hours at the Bar" he explained "He seems to be popular with some of the patrons and they tip well"

He pauses and looks at his clenched hands "I don't understand why he'd disappear or who would want to hurt him, but please find him" he trailed of looking distraught and then thoughtful "He did mention some shadowy types had begun hanging around the district, but given the ah.. Services offered I thought that was probably normal"

"Thank you" the old Gnome said bowing over his hands "Not many people seem to care that much what happens to us folks in the refugee districts"

"One last thing before I go," Dei said, taking out the list of friends and acquaintances. "Since you hired us, is there any other names that could go on the list?"

The Gnome examined the names carefully "I don't think there is anyone else" he said "we tried to get all the names down"
