Base - Aron's Spire

Aron's Spire is a base that the party lives and works out of. As such there are certain abilities and features that can be built into it. I'm using a modified settlement system to build this.

The Spire has three main statistics: Defense, Power, and Systems.

Defense: This is the main way the building defends itself when the party is out adventuring. This could be as low tech as paid guards, or as high tech as deathbots. The higher the level, the better it is equipped to fight off invaders.

Power: This is how much electricity flows through the Spire and is the base that the other two statistics are built off of. The higher it's power, the stronger Defense and more Systems can be supported. This also increases the odds and strength of outside attacks.

Systems: This governs how many systems can be in operation at one time and how useful they are. The more levels in systems, the higher amount and more advanced labs and other projects are.

To advance each stat, the party must spend an amount of UPBs equal to the current level the stat is at plus the level you are going to times 1000. So a Power advanced from 1 to 2 would be 3000, 2 to 3 would be 5000, and so on. Each advancement takes a number of weeks equal the the level that it's being advanced to, so a 2nd to 3rd will take 3 weeks.

The Spire's Power level must always be advanced before the other two. If there's not enough power, Systems stop working and Defense begins to break down.

Current Level 0

At this level, any sustained siege on the Spire will win. While there are defenses currently active, they aren't much of a challenge to a persistent foe.

The spire currently has power, but it's not very much as the years have taken their toll on it.

Base - Aron's Spire Systems

Current level: 1

The Spire has one lab slot that is already set up, but can be changed by the party.


Current Systems Active:

Repair lab: Used to repair Aron and any robots in the facility.
  Current level: 1
  Robots and other synthetic life can be repaired in this lab. A destroyed, aka one taken to 0 hp, can be rebuilt, but it only has 50% of the full hp it had before it was destroyed. You can put two destroyed robots in and the new robot will have 75% of the average full hp of the robots.

Base - Aron's Spire Other Info

Aron's base has other "systems" that don't require power and are thus completely optional to advance. Each level costs a flat rate of 500 UPBs to advance and will give specific bonuses when done so.

Food Production: 1
  At this level, a small garden has been started. This produces enough food to supply a group 5 people, cutting the cost of living rate to 75%. The party may sell this produce to generate either 1 gp a month or 10 UPBs a month.

Living Quarters: 1
  More permanent quarters are currently being created which are little more than lean tos and tarps. This gives enough shelter for 5 individuals from most of the elements. Only seasonal extremes, like the dead of winter or the height of summer, or inclement storms, like a heavy thunderstorm, effect those that live at the spire. During these times, the party would have to take refuge in the nearby town. The party now has the poor level of cost of living for free.

Sanitation: 1
  A latrine has been built which is little more than a bench placed over a pit with a shovel nearby to pitch dirt on top of the excrement. While it's not the best, it's at least a start and there is only a 20% chance of catching a disease each month.

Armory: 0
  This is your basic forge that you can make mundane items. Currently nothing more advanced then wooden shafts can be made and everything must be bought from town.
