You are seated at a large table of finely polished wood, with a twisting gilt border.  The three of you sit on one side.  Across from you are Lady Carmen Estivale and a few of her staff.  One has been taking copious notes throughout your meeting; another has been copying your map of the island, with as much detail as you were able to provide yourselves.  A third has been sorting coins into separate pouches (150 silvers for each of you, as agreed, even if not all of you were originally part of that agreement), and a fourth has been listening attentively this whole time but mostly staying quiet.

Once you are done recounting your adventures and discoveries, Lady Estivale says "Thank you for your valuable service.  You've certainly earned your pay.  And now I have another job I need you to do, at the same rate.

"It seems that during the time you were away, the presence of the refugee camp has become ore widely known.  I have reason to suspect that some of the other families here have been trying to make their own deals with them, going against my deal and our great aspirations for those poor people.  I need you to travel to their camp, let them know that plans are under way for their resettlement, and make sure that they will abide by the arrangements that my house has previously made with them.  If you do find that anyone else is interfering, you will bring me the best evidence you are able to.  To help you in this matter, one of my secretaries here will be joining you." At this, she motion to the person who has mostly been quiet up to this point.

Leontes has joined the party

Mawkawmano, as captain of the ship, had been obliged to give very extensive details of the expedition, not only his personal role but also in particular its financial affairs.
Since Lady Estivale had a gift for asking very shrewd probing questions, he was feeling by this time as if he had been very thoroughly wrung out to dry, and he greeted with relief the prospect of discussing a new mission -- especially since it showed that despite the failure to discover any very profitable resources on the new land, she was still prepared to back him in handling the future colony.

Looking down the table at Leontes, he said "Of course we will welcome the help of anyone Your Ladyship deems worthy to take part in these delicate negotiations."

Alessandra sits in silence, back straight and hands formally clasped, as one would expect from a Dellavrian Navy officer. All the same, her eyes are constantly drawn to the little piles of silver, and she's self-conscious about the crusty, smelly clothes she has been wearing for weeks now. She can't wait to pocket her coin, wolf down a real meal and get massively drunk, slumber in a hot bath and slip into fresh clothes. Then do it all again. Then perhaps start thinking of getting a new crew together and...

Her eyes snap back to the lady. Of course she has a new mission for them. She opens her mouth to say thanks but no thanks, 'Sandra is going her own way, but she closes it again. Not like that she won't. She needs more money, and time to get her bearings again. And this is Dellavria, not some pirate nest, she has to be careful how she goes about contacting fellow gentlemen of fortune.

"Only evidence, Your Ladyship? We shall not try to undo that hypothetical interference, then?" she asks. She wants to make sure she is officially sanctioned TO SHED blood before she starts sheding it.

A privateer, as it were, she thinks to herself and scoffs.

Makawmano eyes Sandy speculatively. If she means what he suspects she means, he hopes Lady Estivale will be providing more than one secretary as backup in case they find themselves fighting unofficial representatives/bravos sent by other great houses.
