- I run games with lots of exploration and combat. Focus is always in the story. If poles were Hack and Slash and Immersive Storytelling, my style is somewhere between. 13th Age says it's a story-oriented game - I'm all ok for that.
- Dice drive the game. I never fudge the rolls. In other words; your character can die, due bad choices or simply due bad luck. PC death sucks, so I don't like it, but it's part of the game, IMO.
- I don't always require rolls for situation that might warrant one. I may simply say Yes. Usually I do it to speed up things.
Game Rules
- We play 13th Age using the base book (for now).
- Playable races are: Human, Dwarf, Dark Elf, High Elf, Wood Elf, Gnome, Half-Elf, Half-Orc, Halfling, plus Dragonspawn, Holy One, Forgeborn and Demontouched.
- Playable classes are: Barbarian, Bard, Cleric, Fighter, Paladin, Ranger, Rogue, Sorcerer, Wizard. No multiclassing.
- Performing a ritual with a Cantrip will consume 1st level or higher spell.
Play-by-Post boundaries
- Post minimum 3 times a week.
- Let me know if you're unable to post according the above. If I don't hear from you, after 1 week I'll start acting on behalf of your character and after 2 weeks I'll move them to NPC status.
- Use decent language, try to be descriptive. Posting what your character thinks and feels is recommended, I'd like to read about that.
- Correct grammar is not an issue for me. I'm not a native English speaker so I'm not in position to demand this :) As long as I understand what your intent is, hopefully, I'm fine.
- We use the game Die Roller. For speeding up the play I think it's best if I roll skill checks and maybe Saves? Attack rolls should be rolled by the player, since there are options and triggers involved. Roll damage at the same time as the attack, it's easier to see from the Die Roller log.
- No evil characters, i.e. don't ruin the game for the others.
- No Player vs. Player unless BOTH sides consent to it.
- No erotic role playing, this game has Mature tag.
Setting
- I use the game's setting pretty much as it is, naturally adding details like towns, dungeons, NPCs, Magic Items etc.
