I am building the site as we go, so... patience!

So far I put up:
• an OOC thread for PC & Company creation and general desires for the game, so we can work all that out together
• an absence thread: I have no problem at all with people leaving for whatever reasons (simple boredom, stuff to do, problems...). Simply, if you can give some info' about this (warn before or when you do, give an idea of whether you are coming back) it helps us with how to treat your PC (botting, putting aside)
• a general OOC for whatever-- important or trivial
• I will track Fellowship Points & the Eye Awareness in my Biography (the two little lines in my avatar, to the left of the posts) - and we can work out what I'll have you track there (Health/Fatigue/Hope? or Traits?)
• I will try something new: to put game info' in my character description (so you can just click my name in my avatar, to the left of the posts, and access it rapidly) - we can see if I ask you to put a line of game info' at the top of your description (like Health/Fatigue/Hope? or Traits? or whatever) for easy access
• the dice roller is set for The One Ring (one important thing: in Second Edition the TNs change a lot, so remember to enter the correct figure - not super important since it does not change the roll, but if correct we have a good interpretation by the dice Gods)
• sorry for the game map... it is a rapidly patched together thing from the 2 page map from the game. I will get a better one up soon. But I wanted the game map since it will fit the Loremaster Travel map etc..
• finally, I have some info' in the RTJ & Game Information, but that is a placeholder until we see what is needed

I will use this thread to give warning of what I have updated/changed, so you can follow the news!

Update Information

Put up the start of the 1st adventure-- we can get to posting there once things have started.
We will be beginning during a Festival Fair in Bree-- to get used to the new (for most, for some, for me at least) dice mechanics etc..

Update Information

Changed maps:
• a nicer map (from the Starter Set) is up as main game map
• the Player Map for Eriador is now under "Map for Group 0", must select at the bottom of the map page (I still aim to clean it up and make it better)

Will be adding more stuff under OOC Character Creation but not noting it here (I try to note things here to people can see what is new vs. sometimes missing info).

Added an OOC Game Tools thread.
Right now it has a template for you 2E TOR character sheet (thanks to Galar!) that you can "quote" and "copy/paste" to use for your PC.

• 'Fellowship Focus' added by Galar to the blank PC template (update yours if you need to)

• I started the pre-game intro' threads. Some are for multiple PCs (like the one with our Dwarves & Barding), others for just one person.
Feel free to post there even if your character is not finalized.
It is for RP purposes, to get you to interact for thos wanting to RP their links ; for you to slip in some info' on your character ; and just to get into the game as we finish character creation and all meet up in Bree.

I changed the game to Mature.
(I wanted to do so at creation, but ended up not doing so)
Mature games must remain suitable to all ages, so this game must.
Mature games are games which have (as some minor portion of them) mature themes, strong language, drug use, and/or extensive violence.
I imagine we might explore some mature themes, there probably will be some drug use (heavy drinking now and then?), I am not interested in extensive violence, but there will probably be some violence if/when battle is engaged, and it seems we have some strong language coming.
Sorry for not having started with ith Mature Content flag.
So, I am warning you now that some of the game material may be considered offensive.
Speak up if you do see language that offends you.
And, again, this is just opening up for mild, Middle-Earth-like such content.
(nothing explicit in the mature themes, no harsh/torture/graphic violence etc.).

And added the Risk Level and especially Success with Woe to the Rules.

Success with Woe is super important, and a major change from 1E for those used the older rules.
It is good to remember that rule, since you players can invoke it for any Skill roll.


Note: so far I have found nothing re. Success Icons (6s rolled) in a failed roll that you make work with Success with Woe.
Until I do find a rule (probably not) or I decide otherwise seeing how things work, I will count the 6s if you go with Success with Woe.
ie. in Orodil's roll that was just made-- it is either a Failure, or he chooses Success with Woe, and thus the 6 that was rolled counts, and it becomes a Great Success with Woe.

For the Eye, since I have not (yet?) found anything re. the 11 having negative effects for a failed roll, I will "only" have it count as 0 and add to the Eye Awareness (not trigger complications).
If I find a rule then I will change things.

Update Information

I have started the two threads (both IC & OOC, for both groups) to begin forming the two Companies, and running the first adventury-Adventure.

Old Bones and Skin will gather the two Rangers, the Elf of Lindon, the Hobbit from the Shire... and the Man of Bree.

The Star of the Mist will see the four travelers from Erebor and Dale continuing together.

I will start the IC threads over the next days, to get the ball rolling.
And will get some questions up in the OOC threads, to have you thinking of how to set the Company up.

We can do so leisurely over what for many is the Holiday Season, to start moving at a faster pace in the new year of our age.

As Vidar and Eredhil have passed the finish line of the Torch Race, the festivities on the Green come to an end, and some go to the Pony, while others regroup at the Dwarf House.

We are finishing the intro' Fair-adventure phase, that was aimed at getting people to know one another's PCs and get used to the rules.

I am awarding XP for this as though we played one tabletop session (but NOT letting people spend XP yet-- so that we do the first "real" adventure with your starting character - the XP will be then added up to spend after).

re. Treasure: as I said, w/o any rules in 2E I will go with 1E rules (and logic) and let you safely stash your new found 'treasure' in Bree (at home, at the Pony or the Dwarf House) so it is NOT added to your Load.

We have lost Áski, and I have removed Theorondil (as well as the person who had wanted to be in waiting - Pan Ogrin).
We thus have 7 players for now.

I will continue posting and am happy for people to be active-- but we will get going on the Adventures just after the New Year.

Update Information

Still no news or answers from Homnir, so I imagine he has left us for good--
--so I will keep his character to the back for now (and probably move him away, after the adventure).
I'll change this, of course, if Homnir's player ever reappears.
