101c-IC Bree is abustle
Galar's father's small frown remains as his son talks about wasting his time at the Pony.
But, as he is obviously about to say something, the older man's frown deepens-- but his attention has been diverted away from Galar - lucky for him! Or was it just a well planned move on the son's part?
"A good spot?! Indeed. With what it cost us, the Reeve can have his face sculpted among those designs on the stone pillars of the Counting-house!"
And he keeps on going, muttering about Twyc Greenleaf, Reeve of Bree, and how the man "spends more time snoozing than working!"
Bree's Counting-house, located close to the Green, where the Fair is to be held, was once where the king’s men collected the taxes and tariffs from the Bree-folk and from travellers on the road.
Today, it is still used for council meetings and tax collection, and is as close as Bree has to a town hall... or lord’s palace.
