Re: O.C.C

Heads Up: I've got the new COVID.

+ I'll be home all the time.

- I'll be unconscious a lot because I feel like a microwaved dog turd.

Re: O.C.C

I have a question for everyone. I didn’t do too well on my latest Recon roll which was a 7 and a 1. Should I go ahead ‘push the roll?’ I cannot reroll the skill roll as it is a 1. The 7 for the attribute roll is a success and pushing it allows me to reroll again with the chance of achieving two successes (or a failure). What would you guys do?

Re: O.C.C

In our local tabletop games we actually house ruled it to work that way (straight adds and subtractions instead of die type increments). I personally like it a lot better because then the specializations always matter.

By the way; Winona is a Sniper. Does she, by chance, have Infiltrator? That would have given you another bump to the die type.

In this case, if the only purpose for this roll is to conceal you from the group near the Bradley, I would not push. It could give you a point of stress you can't get rid of until we get to rest again (likely most of a day at least).

Re: O.C.C

Hmm, considering you can't re-roll the 1, I wouldn't do it. You got 1 success, and you only have a 10% chance o a d10 to get 2 successes, whereas you have a 50% chance of losing the success you already rolled. Not worth it in my opinion.

Re: O.C.C

so, that was really drawn out conversation. i always used the simple rule of thumb of 'don't push a roll that won't save a situation'.

also, had to do an edit here, why is it that you guys are so worried about sneaking up a Bradley. Call ahead if you have a radio. If not, what in the hell are you going to do if it were bad guys and you got spotted?

I've got one. Come over to my track and I'll loan it to you so you can go back over there and call me on it.

Yeah you told us the player was gone.

What I meant was has she also disappeared out of the game or is the character still around as an NPC (for the time being)?

Question for the group.. In 2nd edition twilight, there was a supplement called twilight nightmares, also in challenge magazine there were some..semi horror scenarios,  what are the thoughts or preferences of at some point running a sci-fi or horror scenario?

One more thing do not forget that used brass is kind of a currency,  so make sure to save what you can and you may find some from scrounging.

I'd have to shoot at something first. Beside weapons fired in vehicles is already collected to some degree. it is in the vehicle.

i'm cool with what you have on mind. but, could you include a little bit more detail for it. i'm at a loss for what to do without simply having Buckley evade the situation and set out on his own to find the 5th ID.

Sorry folks, I’ve been getting over a bout of sickness (not sure if was Covid or not, but still sucked!) and just now getting to catch up…
