Re: O.C.C

Alright folks we can get group picks started.  Remember a pick can only be selected once.

Re: O.C.C

Well I'll get the ball rolling by selecting the 100 liters of fuel.

That's one we will definitely need with a Bradley to feed.

Re: O.C.C

Instead of the D6 medkits, would it be possible to get a Doctor's medkit and surgical instruments?

Re: O.C.C

Well the 100 liters of fuel makes me change the opening but that is alright.  Good thinking.  As far as the doc kit.  That is part of a medic or doctors kit.  What I will allow is that to added to the group pick list for this game.  This is all a great experiment anyways.
If anyone can think of a better method for iniative let me know I do not like draw a card and trust luck approach.  I am considering having a cuff roll to lower iniative based on success. Maybe a perception and cuff roll successes lower your iniative, from the card. What do you think?

Fuel cap on an M3 is around 700 lt so 100 lt is still a fuel shortage as far as I am concerned.

We've been using the standard method and it works better than it looks like it would but I can see it being a hassle on RPOL.

Re: O.C.C

If people have to wait for the person before them to post because that person has a higher initiative that usually slows things down dramatically.

Any game I’ve played on Rpol has defaulted to the order people post in rather than using a set initiative.

Re: O.C.C

We could throw out the card draw and go with cuf or just determine when the enemy goes compared to the party.  I’ll see how some options work as we go along.

Re: O.C.C

round robin it; good guys post an action, bad guys post an action. questions asked in OOC to Warlord that correspond to said action. GM hides bad guys rolls and narrates outcomes to build suspense.

repeat.

gives everyone a chance to act based on what has happened in game to that moment in time. players post their rolls, but the GM has say to narrate actual outcomes.

no one has to wait in sequence until someone else posts. if someone has a RL issue that keeps them away for a while then just move on and let them jump back in when they can. no back posting or retconning of posts. just keep moving forward.

Re: O.C.C

Sounds good,  that way no waiting in order to post. Might speed up the game during combat.

Re: O.C.C

I run a twilight 2000 game on RPOL currently. it's what i do. it just makes it easier to keep up with everything.

that game is titled Twilight 2000 New Version. The needing players flag is off, but you guys are welcome to apply out of the spirit of camaraderie and all that other heartfelt stuff.

In reply to Warlord (msg # 59):

The character sheet thread is locked. You’ll need to unlock it before anyone can post to it.

In reply to Warlord (msg # 61):

It’s editable.

But you said you wanted them uploaded to the character sheet thread. Do you mean you want us to post them there? If so that thread is closed - no one can post anything there so you’ll need to open it (only the GM can do that).

If you mean we just need to update sheets in our individual character details then you don’t need to do anything.

Don’t worry about it.  There are two character who have not posted their sheets or not to the correct spot.  You are fine.

I'm going to post as if Nowak is driving because you have at least mentioned some vehicle skills. Hope that works. If not we'll switch it up asap (or we'll crash).

No worries, my two best skills are driving and tech. I am the polish grease monkey of the group.

Damon doesn't have driving, but he does have the Tanker specialty, so he can at least serve as a relief/backup when no one is wounded, etc...

I'll bring in Sepetlav and Buckley soon.  Since Bradely has an M3 Bradely I'll get you a vehicle soon. The M3 does not have much passenger room. Are you two set or need anything else?

Folks remember to scavenge when or if you can.

Re: O.C.C

If I remember correctly, we have fuel already taken as group equipment, and the Doc is interested in medical supplies. Any opinions for other equipment? I personally like the idea of a pair of binoculars and more food, but extra ammo or possible extra weapons are always handy. I have tools as part of my starting gear so we should be covered there.

Re: O.C.C

As an guide I posted the real world stats for an m3a2 Bradley.  Yours will have less ammo of course but it will give you an idea of what you have.  I will figure out your ammo and gas tomorrow.  I will also get another vechile for the rest of the group since the cav track only has room for 2 observers.
Any questions let me know.

Re: O.C.C

As far as the number I picked a good one.  It would have arrived I. Country just as the war was kicking off.  I will allow the group to choose the weapon system.  The choices are m2, m240b, or a mark 19.  Let me know what you choose.

Re: O.C.C

i have binoculars already. but i don't tech, medical aide, or command. recon, ranged combat, and marching. NBC specialist, but not tech skill to back it up. Ranger, Paratrooper, Rifleman, so he is a good grunt. But, I did pick up scrounging as a street kid back home, but no survival. so, yeah, shoot and scoot, but little else.

It would be nice if I could be scrounging for some odd bit when the IFV rolls along. I don't mind bumming a ride, even on top.

I agree with Mrs. Healingtouch, we could use more medical gear. Getting shot or shelled in this game is no joke.

Sorry for the late reply. I work saturdays.
