Out of Character
@Scarlet: In your post, you mentioned that you feel naked without your rapier, which was a good call because somebody would be bound to put it together if you had it. However, you do still have that longsword which practically no one knows you have. It would be unusual for a girl so young as Naiada to wear a longsword, and would cause talk, but it would be talk about that unusual island girl, not about 'who is that really?'
Take a look at the map (which I've uploaded as the primary game map), Naiada is supposed to be from Corcyra, which is an island off of Epirus. (Recall your grandfather is Duke of Epirus.) Your "cousin," now the Countess Brennalia Delfini, was originally from there but is now the lady of ...(hmm, it seems I didn't name the County, but it is definitely part of Epirus. We'll just call the county Delfini, as well, even though Counts often don't always take the county name as theirs) Corcyra is not part of Epirus, but is its own Duchy, though clearly not nearly as powerful as Epirus.
Your mild love interest from your previous chapter, Xavin, was from Gemlia, a coastal county which was also part of Epirus, and they had pirates that they had to deal with. No doubt the history of Corcyra is tied up with pirates, as well, with some amount of maybe they were fighting the pirates, maybe they WERE the pirates. Feel free to play with that.
