The kobalds can not be seen. You can take a shot with disadvantage if you can hear them.

From nat 1 to nat 20- the Lawful Good Cleric with a zero charisma bonus might actually get away with a deception ploy. The dice gods are funny sometimes.

Hunh. I go off-line to sleep and such-like, and when I come back, I find out that the Kobolds have been up to their old tricks.

Well, Hargrin, I give you credit for bluffing, but once someone starts shooting back, it's hard to do that routine.

Has anyone actually shot yet? I know Bross and Alleycat are looking for targets, and Sora and Catrina have started to retreat...

I figured it was worth a try, anyway.

By the way, Hargrin isn't going to be retreating until he gets an answer from the kobolds either way.

Technically we could take a shot at the one we heard yell, it would just be at disadvantage.

Ac has not. He has dismounted and found some cover, then peered about to see if he can spot a potential target -- all of which he deemed to be prudent until he sees which way the wind is blowing, so to speak.

If Hargrin's deception gains some traction, he will act accordingly. But how the Kobolds react remains to be seen.

No one has taken a shot since Hargrin's bluff.

We have not heard from Taria or Faim. I will post shortly.

Well done, Hargrin. This may be the first time in my D&D experiences (which go back a goodly number of years) that I have ever seen a Dwarf sweet-talk a Kobold. Or even try. :)

Honestly, some of my best D&D plays fit under "well, I can't make the current situation much worse, so what the heck let's try it".

I will try to continue sweet-talking asap, but just went up to the MedExpress for a bad cold/sinus infection (no covid on the rapid test), so brilliance might have to wait until meds start kicking in.

But in the scheme of things, are we drawing them out to attack them or doing a take us to your leader thing? Just want to make sure I’m understanding the play here.
