Re: OOC

There wasn't a huddle about it, so- since those of us who didn't pick elves or something can't see to hit- I'd say that (As the better intel-gathering thing might be to "join up"), don't fire yet.

(Unless the "initiation ceremony" involves slaughtering someone, obviously.)

Cat is really hoping for one of you guys to take such an initiative. Go ahead, do it, be tempted by it.

To clarify, can I, since I have dark vision, or is my line of sight blocked by Hargrin and Ned?

No, he is barely visible to the two at the front of your group.

Re: OOC

Ok, thanks for confirming.

I don’t know about you guys, but the whole line up single file thing is a little sketchy. I personally think that we keep Alley Cat in the shadows, if that’s all right with him. We could have anyone who is not hiding come up, get healed, see if we can get in sight range, then strike while we have the element of surprise. That way we can continue to follow the caravan and proceed in the way we think best. Going with them all the way to the camp cuts off our options significantly.

Thoughts?

Re: OOC

Ok, so my current problem is that I can rp bandaging wounds, but I'm not a life domain cleric. I went with Nature for a priest of agriculture and farmers. All I have to heal three people are my only two spell slots. I do have a healer's kit, but I don't think that can actually restore hp without the proper Feat- just diagnose disease and prevent death.

Unless our DM is feeling merciful in that regard, or would count the bandaging time as a Short Rest so folks can use hit dice to top up?

Re: OOC

I can also use a spell slot to do some minor healing as needed. And don’t worry about me if we need to conserve heals- the damage was minor and I’m not hurting too bad yet. Let’s focus on Antru and, if needed, Catrina and see what can be done with our lizardy friends.

Hargrin's idea of a short-rest (Hit Dice) healing period sounds good to me, if that is available. :)

Re: OOC

I'd be fine with a short rest heal. Save our spell slots for if we need them later. Otherwise I could make due on the HP I have. I plan on more ranged combat than hand to hand. Though at this rate I'll just be a pin cushion for their crossbow bolts.

Maybe we get in line and get a bit closer, then it can be cast? Give us less ground to cover later.

Re: OOC

Sora, I think other that Taria (and the absent Faim?), the casters in the party all have some degree of darkvision and probably didn't think about it. Oops.

Sounds good to me, Amorette. Taria, I think your cue to light it up will be the kobold leader crying out in pain from Hargrin's spell or Antru's weapon.

DM, would I as a studier of nature and the local environment be able to get a read on when the storm might start packing it in?

Also, how much time has passed since we first encountered the kobald? To me, it seems like it must have been at least a good, 10, 20 mins.

Re: OOC

I'm thinking 20 to 30 minutes considering you are tending to wounds in the dark, and in the rain with non magical techniques. If you wait another 30 minutes I will say it is a short rest.

The rain shows no signs of stopping. Hargrin's best guess is that it will go until dawn at least.

Remember that light is a touch spell. Faim has it also. I could be persuaded to have him use it if you ask him IC. He is not within the tight cluster around Hargrin at the moment , so has not heard anything whispered within that group.

Re: OOC

You see the group around Hargrin much more clearly, the kobald is beyond the limits of the light, though he is more difficult to see because the light is interfering with your dark vision.
