Re: OOC

And I'm done with my sheet, and I've realized monks are really low on income. Make sense considering the lifestyle they follow.

Don’t feel rushed. I was surprised I was able to get mine done in one night. Normally takes me a couple days.

Re: OOC

Thank you all. We are off to a very good start.

When we get most sheets up I will open a sandbox festival thread where you can interact with townsfolk, revelers and performers. Feel free to improvise in this thread. It will be the early afternoon on the first day of the festival. I will add npcs that you make up in this thread to the story.

Re: OOC

Taria, my Hargrin is native to Greenest. Hill Dwarf Cleric of Chauntea, and amateur brewer if you want a connection.

It might take me a couple of days to get a sheet up. It depends on how slow work is and how much focus I have when I get home.

Re: OOC

That is a concept full of possible overlap as long as:

 1) You are the sort of brewer that might find a bee-keeping farm outside of town a good source of alcoholic base,  i.e. if you brew mead.

 2) Your worship of Chauntea, might cause interactions with a pious farming family who had a daughter that displayed raw magical talent and was encouraged to send her away to be trained.

Welcome, Hargrin. I'm delighted to see that we have a cleric in the party. And a brewer, no less! :)

Re: OOC

Given that we have participants from all around the world on this site, I have found that it is sometimes helpful to know the time zones of the various folks in your games.

I live in the U. S. Eastern time zone. We are currently at GMT-5, and in the summer (when we switch to Daylight Savings Time), I will be at GMT-4.

Re: OOC

I'd say both of those are certainly possible. Hargrin is more of a beer guy, but he might experiment with a mead.

And mark me down for U.S. EST as well.

Aussie Aussie Aussie, Oi Oi Oi!!

The DM in another one of my 5e games here on RPoL is an Aussie, and he has just returned from watching the Ashes -- which is apparently a big cricket match (held every couple of years since the late 1800's, I am told), between Australia and England.

Australia won. :)

Quick update:

I am waiting for a name to add your noble warrior.

We need to complete a few more character sheets before we start. I will open the festival thread tomorrow for folks to interact with each other IC while waiting for all sheets to be checked.

Re: OOC

Hello, all- I'm playing Bross Tallcut, and this is a Big Day for him.

I'm currently living in New York City.

I tried to leave a bunch of RP hooks in his character description. If there's anything to tinker with, let me know?

(I'm trying the school of RPing that says not to keep anything from other players. Other characters, yes, secrets all day long, but not from other players. I have some surprises but no secrets. This, in theory, prevents the thing where there's something cool about a character but nobody ever gets to play with it because "it's a secret". )
