Re: OOC

Yup, welcome back...ish.

Out of curiosity, what caused the net problems? Your router broke down, comp trouble or are they doing work on the landlines outside?

Re: OOC

To be honest, no clue. I have Frontier Communications Gig speed fiber and somehow the internet stopped communicating between the ISP and the ONT box. Thankfully they didn't have to come  into the house to fix it, I think they only had to work out at the box down the block to get thing's working again.

In reply to Tsuki (msg # 514):

Actually had a similar thing happen a couple of years ago. It seemed someone in my area ended their subscription with their (and my) ISP, and while 'unplugging' them from the box the mechanic had accidentally snapped my connection cable in there as well. It was right at the plug too so they didn't notice when they sent someone over to look at it the first time around.

Would have been nice to know what actually happened to be honest. They had it fixed before I even woke up that day. Heck, they could of sent me an email or something about what the issue was at least. lol

Re: OOC

In my case it took a couple of weeks because the mechanic at first couldn't spot where the cable had snapped, since it had broken too close to the plug. They got it the second time though :)

System AI:
OOC-Both escape rolls are failures. You can alter your actions to try again, but you are working off your muli-attack minus for escape rolls past the 1st. Or you can keep your actions as is.

I guess I'll leave as is thanks.

Re: OOC

You do have hero points, remember.

Hell, I will even give you a second hero point because you are selflessly defending the frog people.

quote:
Your heroic deeds earn you Hero Points, which grant you good fortune or let you recover from the brink of death. Unlike most aspects of your character, which persist over the long term, Hero Points last for only a single session.

The GM is in charge of awarding Hero Points. Usually, each character gets 1 Hero Point at the start of a session and can gain more later by performing heroic deeds—something selfless, daring, or beyond normal expectations. You can have a maximum of 3 Hero Points at a time, and you lose any remaining Hero Points at the end of a session.

You can spend your Hero Points in one of two ways. Neither of these is an action, and you can spend Hero Points even if you aren't able to act. You can spend a Hero Point on behalf of your familiar or animal companion.

-Spend 1 Hero Point to reroll a check. You must use the second result. This is a fortune effect (which means you can't use more than 1 Hero Point on a check).

-Spend all your Hero Points (minimum 1) to avoid death. You can do this when your dying condition would increase. You lose the dying condition entirely and stabilize with 0 Hit Points. You don't gain the wounded condition or increase its value from losing the dying condition in this way, but if you already had that condition, you don't lose it or decrease its value.

Okay.  I've edited my post to show a reroll at the cost of a hero point.  If that's still a failure then not much else to do.

Re: OOC

I'm unsure if we are still atop a wall. If so, I'd actually like to be using this:

Brutish Shove (1 axn) - with 2H weapon, if I strike an opponent my size or less,
they are flatfooted until end of my current turn & I can automatically shove. Can move to
    follow target with no trigger

But I donĀ“t really understand how it works in practice? Or if the opponent counts as my size or less?

My understanding is that i do a normal attack and if that is successful (like my first was) they get -2AC and I can push them back, potentially off the wall? Without affecting my action economy?

Re: OOC

In reply to Mo (msg # 529):

Correct. You do a normal attack with a 2h weapon. Upon hitting any foe that is medium size or smaller, the foe is flat footed(-2 ac), shoved as per the athletics result, which normally results in a 5 foot move away  from you, and as a free action you can follow that foe's forced movement with no attacks of opportunity.

I will check of there is a roll to stop this from happening.

Edit-yes, if you succeed, they are moved 5 feet, no resistance. If you crit, they are moved 10 feet. Even if you miss the attack, they are still flat footed.

Edit 2-this is a press action, meaning you can only do it after an attack, and it is its own action. The main benefit is it does not require a roll.
