Re: OOC

I'm unsure if we are still atop a wall. If so, I'd actually like to be using this:

Brutish Shove (1 axn) - with 2H weapon, if I strike an opponent my size or less,
they are flatfooted until end of my current turn & I can automatically shove. Can move to
    follow target with no trigger

But I don´t really understand how it works in practice? Or if the opponent counts as my size or less?

My understanding is that i do a normal attack and if that is successful (like my first was) they get -2AC and I can push them back, potentially off the wall? Without affecting my action economy?

Re: OOC

In reply to Mo (msg # 529):

Correct. You do a normal attack with a 2h weapon. Upon hitting any foe that is medium size or smaller, the foe is flat footed(-2 ac), shoved as per the athletics result, which normally results in a 5 foot move away  from you, and as a free action you can follow that foe's forced movement with no attacks of opportunity.

I will check of there is a roll to stop this from happening.

Edit-yes, if you succeed, they are moved 5 feet, no resistance. If you crit, they are moved 10 feet. Even if you miss the attack, they are still flat footed.

Edit 2-this is a press action, meaning you can only do it after an attack, and it is its own action. The main benefit is it does not require a roll.

Re: OOC

Chipping in for a bit, but if the enemy is on a wall, wouldn't that mean you could shove said enemy off the wall for an additional amount of falling damage?

Re: OOC

Ok, so I think I almost have it. Are we sure it is its own action? I had understood it was like a bonus action, hence my making that third strike roll and because I didn´t want to jam up the works. The text is quite unclear about which part is a previous strike and which part is this specific action.

And yes, like I said in my post #529, I was hoping to shove people off the wall; that is ultimately the best use of a shove action.

Is there any way at this juncture to retro that in? Maybe not as I went ahead and included that third strike, although I didn't really want to.

Ok, edited, many thanks!

I put the shove in after what looks like a critical as the critical carries over to the shove - the effect is to shove 10' vs. 5' but I don't know if that makes any difference.

It makes a huge difference!

Remember, because of your magic flail, you affect more than one target when you hit.

Because of the nature of the horde, any area effect works better against all of them in the area...

Sorry about missing the last couple turns guys. Had some relapses do to my issue. I'm back now though!

They had to change the meds around a bit more because it wasn't draining the fluid from around my brain good enough so I was still having issues.

Getting a post up now!

Re: OOC

GM I'm leaving you to adjudicate how many of them get hit by the flaming sphere, and if they need separate saves etc since I didn't want to roll more without knowing how many were hit. But at least one of them is taking a truckload of fire damage. :)

Very nice Connor! If we were around a table that would be worth a high five!

GM, how long will it take for Malcom to get to the artillery? Just wondering if he should be taking shots along the way or if he should continue going for speed?

You spent all 3 actions moving, so you can be wherever you want.

However, there is not much in the way of artillery left. Nathan's shot not only took out the ones sailing through the air, the corresponding expolsions caused most of the mushrooms yet to be thrown also blow up.
