Re: A New Dawn (Main)

Larathiel dances a few steps as she works her sorcery to listen in on the worshippers; she usually focuses her sorcery through dance. "It's been too long since I did serious magic" she whispers to the rest of the party, apparently enjoying herself.

Re: A New Dawn (Main)

Before they entered the ruins Keira looked around, trying to determine how much time they had before another group of cultists arrived.

I'm guessing there are more cultists incoming.

Larathiel danced and she danced really well as she used her magic. While Aladin left the group and headed back in the direction from whence they had come. And Keira looked around at the other groups of worshipers.

"Next group will be here in a couple of minutes. Should we let them inside and then follow after them?"

Don't like the idea of getting in a fight inside with more of them so close behind us. Is there any light coming from the entrance?

As they considered what they were going to do in the safety of their hiding place, a couple more groups arrived and went down into the underground. And Aladin returned and he had brought the camels with him.

Assuming the group has found a place not bothered by the cultists, Aladin will lead the camels to where they should be safe...

Re: A New Dawn (Main)

Once the they were not in danger of another group of cultists arriving immediately, Keira took a few items from her backpack before leaving the rest of her gear with the camels. Then she shifted to her shadow form and slid down the slope and on the ceiling of the chamber below.

OOC: Ok, unless there is something else we could try, I guess we should get this show on the road. So, unless someone stops her, Keira will go below to check out the entrance.

13:13, Today: Keira rolled 10 using 3d6 with rolls of 4,1,5.  Stealth (14).

Are there any guards inside? And where did everyone go? With all the sand around, I assume there will be tracks we can follow (or avoid).

Waiting for an opportune time, Aladin led the camels down the ramp and underground into utter darkness.

[There are no light sources down there.]

Keira called out from the chamber bellow. "Clear for now. The rest of you coming? We need to decide what to do next. All of them seem to have left down one passage."

OOC: Staying in shadow form for now. Do we follow after them? Or try another passage instead?

Aladin, already down there, heads down another corridor that is not being used, after imbuing a sling bullet with light.

Re: A New Dawn (Main)

Aladin touched one of his sling bullets, said a short prayer, and it started illuminating everything within 10 yards of the priest. After Keira had pointed out which direction the worshippers had gone in, he randomly chose another. And entered.

The mysterious location about a 100 yards away had continuously remained on their mental map.

"I'm coming, I'm coming" Larathiel says, trying to keep her voice down. She descends underground, although it makes her rather uncomfortable. "I can magically create light, if we don't think it would attract attention"

As Larathiel offered to create light, Aladin was surrounded by light and he walked away into one of the seven tunnels, taking both the camels and the light with him.

Gurth trailed his companions. He stopped and took a knee beside the tunnel wall and watched quietly for a couple of minutes to make sure that they were not being followed.

Re: A New Dawn (Main)

"Just how many of them are still coming?" Keira asked in exasperation. Her shadow hugged the ceiling of the tunnel the party was hiding in, close enough to the chamber that she had sight of it.

OOC: This is what we know about this place:
quote:
One tunnel has rubble in it. One led further downwards. One ended in a set of stairs going downwards. One was filled with fear. One was wider than the others. One tunnel was winding left and right. And there is one tunnel that has collapsed.

7 tunnels. Which tunnel are we hiding in? And which one have the cultists taken before?

Aladin would opt for the winding tunnel unless that was the one the cultists took. In which case he would opt for the one that was wider than the others.

The group went into the winding tunnel and Aladin put his light into his pocket and everything became black. And they waited.

[OOC: Unfortunately the group Stealth roll was a critical failure...
