It was 3 weeks later and you've been in the castle at the old capital for about a fortnight now.

You've had time to settle into your new rooms and carry out your duties in the run up to the tournament.

Today You've been asked to help organise the opening ceremonies, with a meeting planned with the alchemist guild to supply some fireworks.

Epineh started doing just that.

You head over to the Alichmist guilds guildhouse and enter, it's set slightly away from the other buildings and is surrounded by a stout stonewall.

The entrance opens into a small foyer with a desk and some chairs. Sat at the desk is an older looking human, with long white hair and a busy beard that was just as white.

"Hello there, can I help you?" He asked in a squeaky voice.

"Hello, I'm here to check on the order of fireworks for the opening ceremonies," Epineh said.

""Fire in the open chimney you say?" The old man replied looking somewhat confused.

Epineh leaned forward and spoke louder this time.

 "Oh of course. Sorry my old ears don't work too well, too close to one too many explosions" he said "I'll just fetch the guildmaster for you" He added and then scurried off.

Returning soon thereafter with a middle aged man, with close cropped auburn hair, and grey eyes that were almost white. "Ah your highness. We were not expecting someone of your standing. Please forgive me for being here to greet you" He said with a bow "I am Lucian Valentino, guildmaster here in the old capital"

"It's fine and a pleasure to meet you, Mr. Valentino," Epineh said.

"The pleasure is all mine" Valentino said "Please join me in my office. We have much to discuss" he said leading the way to his well appointed office.

"Please sit" he said indicating the nearby chairs and taking one himself "We... we may have a slight problem in meeting your requirement.." he said in a nervous tone "You see we had an incident"

"Oh? What is the problem?" Epineh asked.

"We had your order all prepares but.." Valentino said and the paused chewing on a nail "Well to be honest someone stole them"

"Oh. Do you have any idea who took them? Is it possible to make more?" Epineh asked.

"We can make more but it will take time" Valentino said "but I'm worried, while I can't explain how we make the fireworks. I can tell you that, they could be used to make a large explosion"

"Are there people unhappy with the Games?" Epineh asked.

"We are not sure who stole it or why" Valentio admitted "They could be planning to just sell them for profit, after all stolen goods are never sold at a loss. But I fell I'd be remiss if I didn't warn you about the other possibilities"

"You start on them and I'll see if I can track down the stolen ones. Can you show me where they're kept?"

Valentino looks relived "Of course your highness" he said standing "If you would follow me" he leads you through the guildhouse and out into a small courtyard with smaller external buildings.

"As you can imagine we don't store them in the main guildhouse, that could be probematic" he explained as he lead you over to one of the small buildings. The heavy door that should have been in the doorway was instead laying on its side.

"They were in here" he said indiciating the single stone room.

"Who has access to where they were stored?" Epineh asked.

"Any member of the guild can access this area, its were we story many of the things we produce or work with" Valentio said "But guild members would have access to the keys, they would not need to remove the door"

He thinks for a moment "Someone with the right paperwork from the Royal or Ducal familes could gain access as well, but they should have been escorted"

"Was there anyone from the royal family before I visited?" Epineh asked.

"I don't think so, the order was placed by letter" Valentio said after a moment "We shall have to consult the books, all visitors are logged"
