"That's insane! Why is the duke's word worth more than mine?" Epineh asked.

"The Crown Prince has said the same" one of the other guards said.

"That's impossible! The duke has taken him prisoner and making him say that," Epineh said.

"I can't talk to that princess.." the guard said hesitantly "Only what I have seen and heard, and been told by others.

(OOC: Let's have a persuasion check, see if you can fully convince them)

"Please, I wouldn't kill mother and father over that. Please...," Epineh said, on the verge of tears.

The remaining guards looked at each other then as one dismounted and fell to one knee "We hear you princess, what we are yours to command"

"I don't need much from you, other than some supplies once morning comes," Epineh said. "We'll make camp out of the way."

"We don't generally carry much highness, but we can probably collect some supplies from the city" the guard said "It would be a good idea to hide your camp though.. The duke has already proclaimed himself regent and the commanders of the capital garrison are supporting him."

"We'll be hiding in that small grove of trees a little ways off the main road," Epineh said.

"Then we shall return with supplies in the morning" the lead guard said before rising and returning to his horse, the depleted patrol soon disappeared into the night.

"Let's go and hide there," Epineh said to her companions.

The group is easily able to make a camp that is hidden from the road.

Epineh sighed as she sat down.

"We'll need to find someone to ally with."

Alisha nodded in agreement "What about Baron Hangel in Altmark? You saved his city and he knows Anton isn't trust worthy" she suggested.

Epineh nodded.

"Yes, that is our best option."

"I can't believe the Baron pulled all this off" Bethany said "He can't of done this without support"

"I'm sure he did," Epineh said.

Alisha sighed "There has always been some push and pull between the Dukes and the Royal family. But I didn't expect this" she said.

"He seemed like he was going to win, I'm not sure why he didn't wait," Epineh said.

"Perhaps he felt that this was better for him" Alisha said "He might think that you'd be too hard to control"

Epineh sighed.

"And he's somehow framed me for what he did."

"So we find allies and then show that he's lying then?" Alisha asked.

"We have to," Epineh said.

"We only have a few hours till morning " Alisha said "Shall we get some sleep? Is likely to be a tough journey"

Epineh nodded and went to sleep.
