Here's what you two need to create your characters:

New characters will start at 1st-level. All content from the Player's Handbook and Expanded Content is fair game. Use the 27-point buy method for determining your Ability Scores. Don't roll for starting credits; rather, take the equipment provided by your Class and Background, and feel free to sell (at full price) anything you don't want. You can then use any remaining credits to purchase additional equipment.

I think we should be ready to move on to the next mission once you have your character sheets completed.

Is there a limit on that (taking starting equipment and selling at full price)? It is pretty exploitable. By that, I could use the starting equipment 'a vibroweapon and light physical shield' to get the 2200 credit vibronodachi which I could sell for a huge boost in credits to buy gear. I don't want to abuse your generosity past what was intended.

I do. It'll require a little tweaking from D&D to Star Wars but is mostly compatible. I'll PM you a copy with the coding visible in a little bit so it doesn't clog up the OOC.

And I recall now that one of our original players tried to exploit the sell-back option, and I had to amend the character creation rules to Player's Handbook only, check with me regarding Expanded Content.

That sheet is pretty similar to the one I use. Sections are a little different, but same basic formatting.

And yeah.. I don't mind exploiting when the GMs intent was to be very, very generous but I never want to abuse what was offered. I'll keep my potential pick and sell options to more PHB and/or rules-as-intended options instead of as-written.

OK. I think my sheet is done. I made some use of the choosing class gear and selling it, but I believe I kept it reasonable. As-intended, rather than as-written. Let me pick up a couple of extra little things like a translator, but nothing pricey or extravagant.

My character sheet should be finished! I slightly tweaked my background by replacing the gaming set proficiency with a language, which is permissible according to chapter 4 of the core rules.

I really tried, but there just aren't really pictures out there for Ardennians. There's basically just two (three if you count a custom action figure). Neither of which I liked for Lenkarro.

I use a wristpad. Everyone probably should have some version of a datapad and some version of a commlink. A basic commlink is 50 credits and a basic datapad is 100 credits.

As an aside, Lenkarro understands binary Artie.

I do, however, only have enough starting credits for a commlink or a datapad (and buying the latter would leave me altogether broke).

You are quite right: there is a commlink in my explorer's pack. I should not have overlooked that, but I did.

Even so, there'd be nothing left of my starting credits if I grabbed a datapad, and I was hoping to buy some actual armour before too long. Decisions…

Save for the armor then. The commlink is kind of essential, the datapad is just generally a very useful tool.

It occurs to me that despite having assigned my ability scores with it in mind, I never thought to ask whether the option of taking a feat instead of an ASI actually will be available in this game!
