The two of you head inside again, when something hit you. You know that you were the hero.

Althan stops in his tracks as memories and feelings suddenly crashed down on him, he shakes his head trying to clear it and regain his focus.

"You alright there, big guy?" Amara asked.

Althan nodded slowly  "Yeah, I'm fine. Just excited I guess" he said not wanting to explain just yet.

Soon enough the two of you were at the general store. Amara began looking over the various rations they had.

Althan examined the rations half heartedly "Where did you want to head for first?" He asked after a moment seeking a distraction.

"Dunwood is probably best. I hear they have an adventurer's guild," Amara said.

"That works for me" Althan agreed "we can get get guild licences then"

"This is so exciting," Amara said as she bought several bits of rations. "Make sure you're up early tomorrow."

Althan nodded "You too, wouldn't want you to sleep in and miss the start of the journey"

"Hey, whose the one that would wake you up?" Amara asked. "Don't try and turn things around."

Althan waved the comment off minor details, he said as they headed back. "Well guess I'd better make sure I'm packed. Wouldn't want to look foolish when we meet the demon lord"

"Sure thing! See ya tomorrow!" Amara said as she headed back home.

Althan headed back to his place his mother must of still been working at the Inn. He went up to his room, and rechecked his bags before laying down his mind full of memories that were his own, but yet not his own.

Your sleep is filled with dreams of adventures past, perhaps even of those of adventures yet to come.

Althan awakens early for once and yawning he slowly he gets up and makes ready before heading to meet Amara.

No one else was up at this hour.

Althan grabbed some breakfast and left a note for his mother, before heading out the meeting spot they had decided on.

Amara was waiting for you.

"Took you long enough," she said and then stuck her tongue out at you.

"Wanted a good breakfast before we started" Althan said "Ready then?"

"Yep! But that's why you get up even earlier," Amara said.

Althan grumbled something about tyrant and wannabe Demon Queen under his breath as they started out.

Amara stopped at the gates to the village and turned around to look back at it one last time.

Althan wondered when he'd see the place again, his memories as the Hero suggested it might not happen "I'm going to miss the place... I think, its home after all" he finally commented.

"Yeah, but not where we're meant to stay," Amara said, before turning around and heading down the road.
