The woods were rather light here. Plenty of spaces between the trees. You can see the remains of a camp here. Something has wrecked it.

"Looks like something has attacked the camp" Althan said examining the site for clues.

It looks like a big animal attacked it.

You find a set of track heading deeper into the woods.

"Looks like what ever it was went that way" Althan said indicating the direction the tracks went "I think we should deal with that first, besides its always possible that the worst has happened"

"Probably," Bando said.

"It might be unrelated," Amara said.

"Let's do one more sweep first and see if we can find any sign of our missing man then" Althan said "If not, then these tracks are all we have to go on"

A bit more searching and you find some human footprints that head deeper into the woods that go in almost the same direction.

"Looks like someone went in the same direction" Althan said "Let's follow their trail"

You begin following the trail...

Things have gotten quiet. Too quiet.

Althan freezes and glances about "I think what ever made those tracks has come back" he said.

"What do you mean?" Amara asked.

"It's gone quiet.. there is normally some noise about. Unless everything thinks there is a big predator about" Althan replied.

Suddenly a group of birds to your right take off, flying away in a huge group.

Althan readies his shield and blade "Careful now" he said indicating the direction the birds had fled from.

"What are you doing here?" a voice bellowed out.

"We are looking for someone who got lost" Althan yelled back.

A large humanoid creature strolled out of a bush. It appears to be a massive bear. It looks you up and down.

Althan bowed slightly "I'm Althan Scaleborn" he introduced himself and the the others "and this is Amara and Bando"

"What person is this?" the bear-man asked.

"He cam to the woods a short time ago, with Bando and some other men" Althan said "We've come to look for him, on behalf of his brother"

"Ah, that fool," the bear-man said.

"Fool?" Althan asked.

"Follow me," the bear-man said.

Althan glanced at the others and then nodded "Okay" he said and followed the bear-man.

The bear man brings you to a river where a possibly dignified man was drinking wine from a bottle while very disheveled and fishing from the river.

Althan turns to Bando "Is that him?" He asked.

"it's him," Dando said and sighed. "How'd he get past us if he just snuck off?"

"Let's ask" Althan suggested "Excuse me, Lord Lavine? Are you okay? People have been worried about you" He said.

"I am very drunk!" Dungras said.

Althan was a bit unsure how to reply to that at first "Is thar why you left the camp?" He asked crouching near the man.

"No, no, I was bored and wanted to fish!" Dungras said.

Althan glances at Dando and the says in a low voice "Is he usually like this?"

"Yes, he is," Bando said.

"I think maybe it's time you got home" Althan said in a soothing tone "Your brother is worried about you"

"You are right, big lizard guy, I should!" the man said before dropping his rod into the river and stumbling off.

"Wait!" Althan said and headed after the man "Let us walk you back, just to make sure you get back okay"

"Mighty kind of you!" he said.

Althan tried to herd the man towards town,and the nobles house.
