This is a story about an academy established a decade ago to help people learn how to use supernatural and superhuman abilities. It takes place in the modern world (pre-covid setting with the exception that in the year 2000 people with abilities became much more common. With this sudden change society as a whole had to react leading to a world that is similar but different.

You play one of these people and now have to navigate this new world.

Hello All!

You may notice that the above section is very short and very vague. This is because the game is intended to be a collaborative effort between me and all of you. My hope that in doing this I can do two things that will make this a fun and long running game.

First I am hoping to avoid GM burn out. Running a game, especially a play by post, can involve a lot of work especially as the number of players grows. I get too into world building and end up doing minor research projects when I should be sleeping. So I'm hoping by letting others help, we can keep me from going mad.

Secondly I want to make sure we have a lot of fun and interesting ideas in the game world. I'm one guy and while I'm well read, after a while my stories can start to sound pretty similar to one another. By having multiple contributors we might just make a game that is as wild and crazy as the one we live in.

So with that out of the way, how do you contribute as a player?

Well first off every player who becomes a part of the game gets to decide one fact about the world. This has to make sense with all previous rules and can't eliminate them, but otherwise the sky is the limit. So for example,

The second way that you can contribute is by running stories in the game independently  of me or any other GMs. That way there can be regular posting and a variety of stories happening all at once. There will be some oversight to keep details of the world consistent and avoid plot holes, but otherwise just ask!

I hope you find those ideas as interesting as I do and give this game a shot!

Assuming the character looks like they will work well in the game, you'll be added so you can read the game threads and see how you feel about the game. This is done in the hope that people don't write massive RTJs, get into the game, and realize that their character needs some reworking.
