Issue 2: Back at school!

Mister Brick, your math teacher, had had enough. One hand was pinching the bridge of his nose, the other was holding a piece of chalk which was trailing off in the middle of writing a math problem. (He wrote his problems with a perfectly even hand while facing the classroom.)

He was looking out over the class and could see many students tired from their other responsibilities and activities at the school; he was listening and could hear the incessant and, indeed, unending chatter; he was noticing the vibes, which were bad.

He'd had enough, and he tossed his chalk down to the tray below the chalkboard and pulled his glasses off, wiping them down. He spoke then, with a tone of frankness, saying, "Alright, class. How many of you were on patrol or some other nonsense last night?"

Meanwhile, the young hero known as Leapfrog (or, to his friends, Noah) was whispering to Trouble: "Hey, did you hear? Hawthorne Hall is haunted, for real."

OOC: Hawthorne Hall is, of course, the extradimensional hallway where Imp and Trouble stay on floor 24.

I'd like two things from y'all: First, tell me what you think of Noah/Leapfrog. He's the class clown, so it's likely that you'll be at least a little bit divided on him, as the rest of the school is.

The second thing I need is how you feel about Mr. Brick's math class. You could, in fact, even include an anecdote of Mr. Brick being a stubborn old man.

Issue 2: Back at school!

Trouble faces the board, and tries not to make herself noticeable enough to get called on by Mister Brick. She glances at Noah quickly, her brows furrowing together a bit.

"Oh? And where did you hear that?" Trouble replies in a whisper, sounding skeptical.

OOC: I think that Trouble likes Noah well enough, probably hangs out with him sometimes. But she does wish sometimes in class he wouldn't act out so she could better focus on the lesson. But overall, she thinks he's funny and a decent friend.

Trouble is a bit intimidated by Mr. Brick's math class. She tries very hard, and she's talked to him outside of class for help on some math concepts she hasn't nailed down before. But she likes the class well enough, she just wishes Mr. Brick would be more lenient sometimes.

One time, she had been up late trying to practice with her powers a bit, just to control them better, ya know? And she had forgotten about the math homework. Mr. Brick hadn't even been understanding! How is she supposed to be a better hero if she can't fully control her powers? And while math is important, aren't your powers going to be more useful when you become a hero? Perhaps Trouble shouldn't have said that to his face ...

Issue 2: Back at school!

Imp butts in, leaning over and squinting suspiciously.

“If Noah mean scratchy sounds and loose animals, Imp no under investigation anymore. Noah no able prove anything.”

Imp finds herself in a friendly mischief-based rivalry with Noah. I like to imagine that they have been having a small prank war with each other for about a month now.

Mr. Brick’s class room is one of the few classes where she is less inclined to be a smart ass. Totally not cuz he scares her. Yup, definitely not. In fact, he scares her so little that she doubled down on learning math (cuz she totally likes it, not cuz she had a “baldi’s basics” based nightmare about him once)

“Imp once hear Brick fail super big shot student on test. Parents try pay him for pass. Fail kid anyway after pocket money; right in front of parents! Imp respect that.”

Hunter raised his hand and spoke frankly.

"Judging by the mood of the room, and assuming that question wasn't rhetorical, Mr. Brick, I'd say just about every one of us."

OOC: Hunter wishes that Noah would take school more seriously, they are here to learn, after all. But he does find his antics occasionally amusing, he'll admit.

As for Mister Brick's class, he enjoys it a fair amount. Math is important to him after all, being an aspiring roboticist.

Sage looks down and to the side avoiding the question only looking up to nod slightly in response to Hunter’s statement.

OOC: They are rather negative in their opinion towards Noah. She sometimes thinks his jokes can go too far and that he can be rather distracting especially since she's playing catch up in like half her classes. Not to mention he just kinda seems like a bit of a prick.

As for Mr. Brick she really appreciates how understanding he has been of her current predicament. He’s been really great about catching him up on newer mathematical concepts and not boring him with stuff  he already knows. Having said that, it's really nice seeing a friendly face from before all the time shenanigans.
