For a time, they were legends...a band of great and mighty champions, renowned across kingdoms far and wide for their strength, wisdom, and determination.  They saved lives, righted wrongs, and were heralded as the heroes they truly were.  But time makes fools of everyone.  No group remains together forever, and over time, they went their separate ways.

While all was not perfect in their retirement, other heroes were able to step into the role.  But now, a new evil has emerged, threatening to swallow entire continents.  Oracles have been consulted, over and over again, and prayers to the God's above have all returned similar answers: unless the heroes are reunited, the world is doomed.
