Scene 4: The Tavern
With the Weary Traveler out of the question, Frack and Thelonious found Tukoa's other eating (and drinking) establishment, The Tiger's Tail. The interior suggested the Weary Traveler was by far the better of the two buildings. The Tiger's Tail, on the other hand, had a worn look, and a musty, sweaty scent lingered in the dimly lit dining area. There were only three patrons seated there. One was at the bar and another two sat at a table near a window.
Behind the bar stood an elf in an apron and crooked nose. She wasn't homely, but lacked the elegant grace of her kinfolk. Maybe it was her clothing, or the fact that her hair was pulled back and balled up messily behind her head. She eyed the incoming pair as they scanned the tavern. Unlike the barkeep at the Weary Traveler, however, she acknowledged Thelonious and Frack civilly. "Welcome," she said with a slight smile. "Have a seat and I will be with you in a minute."
