New OOC
Jack, are the properties of your magic items (Spiked gauntlet and Guisarme for instance) from runic slots or simply qualities? Brains over brawn would allow the combat to pass by unheeded, overruling a diplomacy check. He may want to eat you given he's made of only tongue and bones, and seeks to wrap the muscle around people, almost as though Mongo's muscly form is like a magnetic attraction. Wall of Blades can be used to draw into Mongo's grasp the five daggers, which aren't known to be either mundane or magical at this time. Steel wind would be a literal presence of the gods which favor you in this specific combat, and you can feel the tug of the breeze as though Poseidon's armorsmiths of the coast of Pelluria are able to start up a tornado with nature magic (though natural disasters are attributable to many different gods).
In regards to Nisha, the creature is only threatening you at this point, taking stances similar to Mongo. There has been no blow struck but readiness is key for chocking something up to Mongo's flat-footed AC. If you race to damage the armor, there is a slight chance Poseidon's wind will collapse the space. If Jack's plan to preserve the armor leads to allying with the Mohrg (whose Auran tongue, the most common language on Erethor will start to spiral around in the nascent winds in an attempt to rob Jack of his Auran Mask. If the eye is eaten, it can lead to blidness but is very hard like obsidian).
If he slams you, the wind will pass by you unheeded but the mysterious pasts of the three new recruits would suggest their flights (thinking of Lionel) would match the tumbling power of Mongo, as moss around the undead would suggest rage to roll around in, but the barbarian-esque travails of Mongo might force him to quaff a potion of Endure Elements, as the moss on his skin would interact with the terrain as though poison ivy had afflicted him, plants from deep within the Sea of Pelluria.
The Mohrg is able to do vampiric-esque things such as turn you into minions if he slays you, and plant matter tends to oppose creatures vulnerable to such things, while being resistant to slashing damage. If Lionel were to maintain his angelic form and Nisha and Cahur were able to assist him in some way, the +12 attack could be slotted in with a feather fall to come down on top of him, as some of Jack's scrolls that mention Poseidon are relevant to his immersion in the magical fabric directly, until you find the grinding halt perpetuated by Izrador.
