In reply to Storyteller (msg # 15):

Are you ok with the Unchained Rules for Barbarians, Monks, Summoners, and Rogues? Also, for race -- would a Stormsoul Sylph be acceptable?

I'm currently thinking Trickster for Mythic Path.

In reply to Storyteller (msg # 18):

Great!

So, right now I'm thinking of running a Stormborn Sylph Unchained Rogue//Sorcerer (or Bard, if we go that route) with the Trickster Path gained as a Godling. (She's a child of the God of Storms -- imagine Thor and Loki combined into a single deity.) Thoughts?

If no one has any issues, I'll get started on a 1st level build. How are we doing attributes?

Let's do a modified Heroic method, 3d6+6 drop the lowest.   If you point total doesn't reach a 30 point build, then round up.

O_O

I swear, I will never speak ill of the RPoL dice roller ever again.

Re: Campaign Discussion...Setup

Nice stats Alyisa!

If it is okay, I think my new character concept will be a Grippli Monk/Druid.

Edit: Also, are we using background skills and/or traits? Both are pretty common on this site, but not universal.

Let's go with yes to both, I'm easy that way.

If anyone needs a name change, let me know.

Re: Campaign Discussion...Setup

Additional thoughts:

When dungeon crawling, you'll be expected to consume rations every other rest period and water every rest period.  So either keep Goodberry in your spell list and/or pack lots of granola...I mean iron rations.

Also...do you want to use Hero points?

While I'm not against it, it does seem redundant with Mythic Surges...

Okay, we'll skip hero points then.  I'll put the OOC thread up tomorrow and the first IC thread on Monday-ish.

I currently have both Create Water and Goodberry prepared, so you guys can prepare other spells if you would like.

Re: Campaign Discussion...Setup

I am still thinking bard/sorcerer or monk/sorcerer.

Leaning towards phoenix bloodline although considered unicorn bloodline.

But got home less than an hour ago and almost bedtime so may not be in right mind.

Ok, I still need to write up her appearance, but otherwise I think I'm ready to go. Please feel free to look over my character sheet!

Re: Campaign Discussion...Setup

I'm going to make up a scaling magic item for each of you to find in the Necrohol.  It'll be something that's good (like a Robe of Archmagi) that'll get additional powers as you go.   So, if you want to wait to take Legendary Magic Item...feel free.

In reply to Storyteller (msg # 31):

That is great!

September going bard on one side would definitely help out the party more than the monk.  Inspire courage is nothing to sneeze at.

I'll be happy to double check anyone who feels the need; plan is to get started on Monday.   Any other questions, thoughts, or ideas?

Re: Campaign Discussion...Setup

I do have one question/thought/idea. Would it be worth it to buy a donkey to carry my stuff? Or would it be likely to immediately die/run away?

My sheet is nearly complete too. Just need to select gear and finalize my mythic path choice, then make everything well-organized and double check all my calculations.

Re: Campaign Discussion...Setup

As it seems we do not have a bard and it is my favourite class likely will be done.  Just woke up so will process my morning routine and then start to look fully.  Just trying to find one thing before I full on decide.

I have not seen anyone ask directly so double checking, are archetypes allowed?

So tempting! I mostly like what I have, though -- I'll set that aside for my next choice!

In reply to Storyteller (msg # 33):
Feel free to look my sheet over; I'm pretty sure I've gotten all the details cross-referenced, but I'm always fine with having another pair of eyes on it.

To everyone else:
Also, don't forget your bonus hps based on your mythic path!

Re: Campaign Discussion...Setup

I've decided to go with Half-Elf Bloodrager Fighter w/Elemental Bloodline. I'm trying to finish up my sheet and read the Mythic stuff as I go. As mentioned earlier I have no experience with it at all. Any help or suggestions would be awesome. I'm leaning towards Passed On Ascension and the Guardian Path.

P.S. The Dice Roller was extremely nice to me :D

I'm sure it'd make a nice meal.  But it probably wouldn't last very long.

Archetypes are allowed, just remember that you can't change either your class or archetype once you've selected it.

I'm going to leave things rather open ended, so start at whatever point you feel works the best.
