Aria, which version of Scrying do you know? Scrying or Greater Scrying? I was just looking at them and was shocked at just how different the two are. Scrying takes an hour to cast, sometimes needs a very expensive focus, and only lasts minutes in duration. Meanwhile, Greater Scrying is a standard action to cast, has no focus, and lasts hours in duration. Those differences baffle me...

Oh, and I do not have the Message cantrips memorized today, but I can summon a Hound Archon to cast it on my behalf. It would use up a seventh level spell slot to do that though, which I find hilarious. Using a seventh level spell just to cast Message. :-P

Yeah, huge difference. I just have scrying. As for the expensive component, I always read that as either or. You either cast the spell over a pool of water or if that wasn't available, you then had to use an expensive mirror. Any pool of water would do, but not any mirror. At least that was always my interpretation since it is M/F and not M,F.

The focus rules come from 3.5, where it was spelled out better:  druids and clerics paid less for it but had less portable options than arcane casters.  In my opinion, by RAW, PF is the same (see the focus section under Magic), but as a house rule, I'm fine with the either/or.

Coincidentally, I was planning on puting a sort of pool in Aria's room. I just haven't gotten to that part of the Demiplane description yet. My plan was to have a realistic model of the crater lake from The Legend of Ro'Shen Kai visible under a glass portion of flooring in her room. Either in the main area of her room, or in a separate prayer area. Unless that would be in poor taste, in which case let me know and I will exclude it from the design.

Sounds good. I am extremely eager to find out what happens next, but I also try to be patient. :-) High-level games tend to take more time per post than lower level games.

It is probably full of typos, but I at least have the bare bones of Rozzick's Demiplane description finished. I may still tweek some minor things, and might elaborate on the details of certain rooms in the future. I really glossed over large swaths of the Demiplane at certain points. Yes, it is. I split it into two separate spaces (plus a large closet) in the description I wrote up on my character description page. I gave you a few things for your room, but also left plenty of room for your personal customizations.

Hey all, I've been swamped with a few commitments - I foresee remaining busy for a little longer.

Take your time. I've become very patient because of Rpol. When I first started playing play-by-post games, I was always in such a rush.

Hello. Just checking in. Still no rush to make a post, but I wanted to make sure this game didn't get forgotten.

If you feel like sharing just for fun, Aria and GM, what are you most looking forward to seeing happen in this game? It could be a place you want to go, a spell you want to cast, or maybe a cool combat trick. Anything really.

What I am looking forward to is eventually Shapechanging into a cool critter and tearing an enemy to shreds. Also, Shapechanging into a huge giant and using my newly-gigantic weapons and armor. Also also, using some transmutation spells in some cool and unexpected ways that even I have not thought of yet.

I'm looking forward to seeing you two show off powers, test your mettle against rivals, stomp on lowly but arrogant villains, and make the rulers of nations tremble - you know, epic stuff :)

It might be just this morning, but I am feeling overwhelmed by life right now.  The next month feels like one of those make it or break it seasons, and I may need to beg your indulgence to hold on this project until May.

I will still be here in May (although feel free to continue earlier if you get inspired on some random evening before then). In June I will be moving across the country to a new house, so I may have a bit of a hiatus of my own at that time. Although I have made the same trip in the past and it didn't slow my posting much, so we shall see what happens when the time comes.

I'm doing well. Still in the process of moving into my new house, which is taking about a month longer than expected. Should be done by the end of July though! All in all my life has been going pretty great though, thankfully.
