With a little help from Amber's speed, you're over the school wall and at the Pizza place quickly. Inside the place had faded wallpaper and employees hurrying about.

"It might not look like much, but it's really good," Amber said.

"I'll certainly take your word for it," said Kinexa.  "Let's see..."

She could ask for recommendations, but instead she let herself pick up different people's reactions to the flavors; it was an easy way to figure out what she'd like.

There was a seafood pizza with things like sardines and shrimp.

"All right, I think I'll try that seafood pizza," said Kinexa.  "How about you?"

"We can split one," Amber said.

"All right," said Kinexa.  She got pop to drink-- water didn't seem quite right.

"Pretty crazy day, huh?" Amber asked.

"Well, the week leading to up it was all crazy," said Kinexa.  "Today is just a subset."

"True enough. Are you handling it okay?" Amber said.

"I've had to deal with rapidly-changing, unusual situations before," said Kinexa.  "I can handle this much."

"That's good. Things can be a little too slow for me," Amber said.

Kinexa raised an eyebrow at her.

"And just how fast do you want things to go, hm?  With us?"

"No, no, no. Not with us. I mean, having speed like this and trying to live a normal life is hard," Amber said.

"I can imagine," said Kinexa.  "Even if you aren't thinking a thousand times as fast, waiting for everyone must feel like it takes forever."

"I have been trying to take up meditation," Amber said.

"It might help," said Kinexa.  "That's a large part of the training I've had."

"There's a date idea there then," Amber said.

"Meditating together?" said Kinexa.  "Interesting... we'd be a little bit separate, but we could mix it up with other things."

"It might be worth trying," Amber said.

"Well, I don't mind," said Kinexa.  "I might wind up more in your head than usual, of course."
