It seems the building you picked seems to be a library. There were three floors filled with shelves upon shelves of books, tables, chairs and some nice looking (for the planet) computers. There were a few students milling about and what appeared to be some sort of gynoids working.

"Interesting," said Kinexa.  She went to take a closer look at the synthetic staff.

They all had identical synthetic bodies made of some sort of alloy and hard plastics.

"Can we help you, Miss?" one asked.

"Yes, I have a question," Kinexa asked.  "Are you self-aware?"

"Yes," the robot said. "All the better to serve you."

That was a bit disturbing.  Kinexa checked to see if he could find an active mind present in any of them-- or collectively among them.

You can detect full minds from them. They do appear to enjoy their work.

Odd, but perhaps she shouldn't interfere.  For now, at least.

"Could you help me get a campus map?" Kinexa asked.  It seemed like a worthwhile investment.

"Yes, certainly. Electronic or physical?" the robot asked.

"Electronic, please," said Kinexa.  Easier and more polite than skimming information from the minds of those near her.

"Please insert your USP cord into my side and I will download it to your phone," the robot said.

Kinexa did so.

There was a ding.

"There you are," the robot said.

"Thank you very much," said Kinexa.  She examined the map, just to have an overview.

It is indeed a full map of the campus with icons indicating what building is what and paths to get from building to building.

Kinexa took a moment to show the others how to do this; they might need campus maps, too.

"That is an interesting device," Terri said.

"Do you not have one?" the robot asked.

"I do not."

The robot went behind the counter and came back with a smart phone.

"Please put your thumb print here. You may use it for the school year," the robot said.

"I'll help you get it set up," Kinexa offered.  "Dad taught me about what kinds of things you can get on these phones."

Not as good as what was out there, but at least it should be enough.

"Oh good," Terri said as Taia downloads a map of her own.

Kinexa showed her a few basics, and made sure that she had security.

"So, what sounds interesting next?" she asked.  The library was good to know about, but it wasn't really time for a study break, before classes had even started!

"I'm curious about the sports facilities. Including the pool," Taia said.

"Oh, that's right!" said Kinexa.  "We absolutely have to check out the pool.  And the rest of it, too.  Let's go."

Checking the map, she headed for the gym area.
