Sundays in August were a sort of calm before the storm, when the entire neighborhood started swelling with the anticipation of the start of the new semester.  The influx of people looking for apartments close by , people moving, and people checking out the neighborhood was obvious to those who'd been there for a while.

Though they were on the West coast and right on the water, it was still a scorching hot summer day.  There were so few clouds in the sky and the air was pregnant with joyous expectation.  Faint strains of classic merenque wafted out from the Red Lounge, and the scent from Zobel's Etheopian restaurant were already filling the air, from the open front door of Zobel's Ethiopean Restaurant.

A couple of moving vans had been parked out front of the Gym and along 13th Ave, movers dutifully hauling all manner of stuff up to the apartments in both sides--the five storey apartment complex "The Jefferson" and the two-storey Piassa on Jefferson & 13th.

Piassa Market and Cakes & Trees hadn't made it through the recent slump, and the commercial spaces were still open.  Cythi had handed over the management of the commercial side of it to a building management firm, but they did still have to touch base with her now and again to make sure that any potential businesses fit within zoning and a more sympatico alignment with the other businesses--the coffee shop, the gym, the "Red Lounge" (taste of the carribean) and MTI Physical Therapy office.

Cythi and Kevin, if you guys are invested in the businesses, it might mean that you have the occasional interested party looking to lease out one or both of the spaces.  I'm assuming it's a background story element that I can use as a temporary complication.  I also assume that you're not particularly interested in playing out the interview process.  But! it gives me a great in to have a couple of regular civilian NPCs in play.

If the five-storey is too much for your vision, Cythi, I suggest going with the more modest Piassa Square building... Jefferson & 13th.  She can have a nice corner suite looking over... well, the ART Inn hostel and the Honey Hole Sandwich shop, I guess.

An Uber pulled up and idled outside the gym. Several moments later out stepped two women dressed in what could only be described as a Japanese goth Nekos?!?

In their hands were large glamorous Kawaii satchels. They giggled and jostled about making various anime gestures. One spun about once making sure her costume cat tail was not in the way and shut the Uber door with a platform shoe. As they approached the door, regulars immediately recognized them by their boisterous manner. It was Virginia and Cythi doing something crazy again. Virginia saddled her ass up against the glass door and gave it a few rubs before Cythi spanked it and they pushed their way inside.

"I survived! KuroNeko Con is over!" Virgina announced and thrust out her arms bearing the bags. "The meetings ended this morning and I only got groped twice. We brought treats for everyone from the booth! It is all Non Dairy Confections! Gluten free, non dairy, all vegan chocolates, cookies, wafers, and little tubs of Ben and Jerry's ice cream! The Non Dairy Confection Council would like you to try all their healthy offerings. All organic, never processed, all natural ingredients! Non GMO with no hormones ever used in the making of our non dairy products??" She seemed to question that last statement. "Your kids will thank you!" She let the pitch linger for a moment.

" Thanks for being my 'plant' Cythi. Really, you did not have to eat thaaaaaat much!", she joked. "Oh my god this dress is hot! I can't wait to get it off! Meow!"

The girls’ entrance did not go unnoticed as they were immediately greeted by the manager of the Gym, Mr. Giovani aka “Stitches”. The middle aged man sauntered up from behind the front desk in his leopard print suit with trademark big mouth bullhorn. The sunglasses matched his suit and the hair was combed up and back in a beautiful mane with enough hairspray applied to make it bulletproof. The man was so tan one wondered if it was in fact leather. This was juxtaposed by his paper white teeth in a big smile at the sexy outfits the ladies wore.

“Ladies ladies. Looks like the cat’s meow has arrived. Rawr hehe.”This creeptastic advance was emphasized with a playful pawing action with the hand not occupied by the horn. “I’ll be glad to take those goodies off your hands and distribute them to the patrons. I agree you look very hot. If you need any assistance unzipping anything, I’d be more than happy to hel…whoa whoa whoa…Aw come on boss!”His surprise comes as the owner, Kevin, is suddenly behind him lifting the overzealous manager up and out of the way to the side.

Kevin wore his gym branded black hoodie, gym shorts, and tennis shoes. “Thanks Stitches, but I’ll handle things from here.”He takes the offered bags and hands them off to Mr. Giovani with a shooing motion. He looks at them with his hands on his hips with a chuckle. “You ladies gotta learn to quit teasing the old man like that. One day you might actually have to slap him. So I see you had a good time at the convention. I hope you took plenty of pictures. Usual workouts today or you gonna mix it up with something new?”

Turning to Virginia, "For you I would do it but honestly they were not the absolute worst tasting things in the world.  But I think I need to cleanse my tastebuds with something a bit more palatable."  Cythi says actually speaking the truth. "Besides you got me into that place although I think your costume was awesome.  I mean I wish I had more time for my costume."

"I think I had a lot of fun and got to buy some neat stuff but it is super weird and kind of disturbing how many people stare at you.  Is that normal at the conventions?"  She asks this being her very first convention she has ever been to and she hopes the thing that Virginia had her do was OK.  Especially the @ss smack as that one she was totally unsure on what that was about.

Cythi herself is quite comfortable not really feeling heat and cold anymore since her transformation.  Well feeling it is one thing it is more of that it does not bother her not that she can't feel it anymore.

Then when the creepy man spoke she shivers but Kevin speaks and that sets her mind at ease.  "I took plenty of pictures although or most part people wanted to take pictures with me and when they could Virginia."

Angel pulled up on her motorcycle as the others were entering. She removed her helmet and stashed it in the cargo box on back of her bike, shaking her half blue half pink hair and letting it settle down her back. Her jeans were worn enough to reveal the black spandex workout shorts she wore under them. Along with a white athletic top under her jacket, she looked ready for business as she entered the gym.

She watched Kevin shoo his manager away and approached the others. "Wouldn't be the first time he's been slapped." Angel told the other women, speaking from experience.

OOC: since PB has a wrestling theme going with his manager, I've got Asuka for my hair inspiration. Makes a noticeable feature will fixate on so when my hair turns black in hero mode people are less likely to think of Angel.


And it's a sad day here to be seeing catgirls. My kittens just got out last night and I think someone picked them up thinking they were homeless. My daughter is so depressed.

It was too late to take her morning jog, or what she deemed "Morning Patrol". In all honesty her feet were too tired from standing around all day. Something else was called for today. "How about a little sparring in the ring with me Kevin? Unless kittens scare you?" She pawed at the air. The 5'1" girl did not intimidate him in the least of course. She was more substantial than she looked but had no interest in that, despite her meta. The two times they had sparred before she took real interest in learning his foundations.

"What do you say? Rawr!"

Kevin made a pawing in the air back at her with a smile. “I suppose I might have some time for a little cat fight. You gonna go in that or a more skin tight variety?”He looks over at the faux-sailor moon. “You wanna fight the winner?”He takes off his hoodie and hands it to Stitches. “I’ll be waiting upstairs for you. I might even have some intro music setup when you get there.”He winked and made his way upstairs.

"I think I am OK.  Although I should test this outfit for performance as I still need a costume." She says.  "You too have fun and I am going to see how feasible it is to wear this."

It is at this point she starts with the simple running, jumping and general acrobatics type deal within the gym.  She does her best at this point to push the costume to it's limits.  "You know I don't think I like the big bow or the likes but this is not bad.  Almost like those outfits that those females where at the sporting events.  What do you all think?  Is this over the top or maybe workable with some modifications?"  She looks at everyone there for the answer or opinions.

Virginia showed up upstairs a short time later wearing normal clothing, sweats-tee-tennis shoes-no black wig.



"That is alot of red, I mean with your hair. Don't match the reds if you wear it." was all Virginia had to say. Other than that she thought Cythi looked pretty good. Cutsie but you got to go with what works.


"Where are my tunes Kevin?" she asked as she clumsily worked to get into the ring. She was having trouble holding the ropes apart with her gloves. She eventually just dropped to the floor and rolled beneath the ropes. Getting to her feet she looked like a lollipop, slight petite frame with pink head gear padding. "I was expecting Bad to the Bone."

As soon the group got upstairs, Angel's hair changed to black as her jeans and jacket seemed unravel and flow upward and into her scalp. She approached a practice dummy, but instead stopped to watch Cythi perform her routine.

"Not exactly my style," She said, since her costume was more Grudge than magical princess, "but it looks good on you." Angel continued as she moved towards the ring to watch the sparring, "Besides, I'm not about to criticize a gratuitous panty flash or two.

Kevin laughs and motions for her to lap around the ring and trying to work up the crowd when he snaps his fingers. Instantly, Eye of the Tiger starts playing over the speakers. This draws in a crowd from the surrounding areas upstairs and even from some downstairs. They crowded around the ring raising fists and cheering with some whistling as Virginia walked by.

By this time, Stitches came bounding up and through the ropes like a practiced master. When the song finished, he raised his bullhorn and spoke in dramatic fashion to the crowd from the center of the ring. “Ladies and gentlemen you’re in for a real treat today. We have a challenger for the man you all know and love, Kevin the Krusher! His challenger is a feisty feline with the claws and jaws to tear apart any man who comes at her, Vixen Virginia! Enjoy the show folks and please no videos or flash photography. Merchandise is in the back for your purchasing pleasure.”

Stitches hands off his bullhorn and motions to each of the fighters. “You ready?”Kevin shifts into his standard Southpaw stance and nods his head. Once Virginia signals ready, Stitches brings his hand down in a chopping motion to begin. The song Headstrong starts playing and the crowd goes electric!

Cythi turns red as mention of the panty shot before stopping and realzing, "Those are not panties.  Virginia suggested I wear these things....they are called...I don't remember but they are like a really short short or bikini bottom.   Something much less worrisome then panties."  She says smiling.

She then pops in an idea.  "Back in a flash!"  She says as she steps out of view of all and teleports away, quickly changes and comes back dressed like....




She would have went with the one she built that represented the lollipop chainsaw cosplay but she was still not ready to show that much skin.

Doing a spin for Gagamba before seeing if she can bring in people she starts doing a cheerleader routine for Virginia,

"Go Virginia, go Virgina, you can do it!  Rah, rah, rah."  She actually goes hard obviously not knowing that much about cheerleading.

"Let's go butterbean." Virginia announced. She was only expecting some instruction but she knew a show when she saw one. May as well make the best of it she thought. After all it is not about if I win, it is do I look good? She pumped her gloves in the air trying poorly to display some semblance of speed like real boxers do. Her moves looked more like someone who worked at Massage Envy.

She pulled out her mouthpiece and improvised some smacktalk for the onlookers."Let's do this thing cause I am lean and mean and whooping you is getting routine. So keep it clean and let it be seen, I am the scene, the scream, the champion....uhm Queen!" She grinned brightly and nodded at those who cheered for her. She quickly replaced her mouthpiece.

She let Kevin know she was ready. Despite their size difference, Virginia moved in close, pink gloves ready to strike...

Kevin moved in with both fists up sizing her up and letting her take the aggressive stance. Throwing a haymaker at a women first thing would not do well for his reputation. Dodging and weaving still gives her a challenge to land a punch.

OOC: Defend (+2 circumstance bonus to defenses)

Deja knows she is outmatched by Kevin so gives her best effort at finding opportunity. As she hustles around with her defense half open, it is easy for him to follow her moves. She is boxing 101 to him. She follows him around not realizing how even in defense mode he is controlling the direction of the match. After a moment she catches on though and goes for contact.

Kevin bobbed to the left sending her swing wide. He kept the tempo going with both fists up. He maneuvered in close acting like he was faking her out while whispering. “You can put a little extra ‘dusting’ on those swings. I can take it and will make for a better show.”

OOC: Yep looks correct to me. Defending again.

How can something so big be so hard to hit Virginia thought. She followed him and made another attempt. Her pink glove came around again.

Her glove got just underneath his guard right in the ribs. There was an Oomphand a small escape of air as he backed up from the punch. “Ohhh didn’t I tell you folks! She’s not just a pretty face. Her pretty packs a punch. Now I see the champ switching to his viper stance.”Sure enough Kevin switches stances with his fists turning into his index and pointer fingers straight out with elbows and wrists bent into a snake-like form with a smile on his face. “Good…this will be fun.” One jabs at her neck to hit a pressure point, but it goes wide. “The Vixen dodges the snake like a fox. Will she respond a quick as a mongoose?!”
