STORY

    For millions of years several thousands of species have fought each other in a war of attrition that spread across five galaxies! With no end in sight numerous alliances and territories have come out. For the past twenty earth years, the great war has been fought by primarily by two sides The Union of Interplanetary and Star Kingdoms a.k.a Star Union and The Voltaris Alliance.

    The Voltaris Alliance is made up of the best assassin in the known Universe! Dark Echo has a history of sneaking into places and completely overtaking planets. Only a few months ago this emperor managed to destroy hundreds of planets! Dwindling the Star Union down to only a few systems and scattered space colonies. One of the few remaining ships in the Union fleet The Vanguard defends the universe with it's crew of four heroes, The Star Defenders, A group of four armored agents who command customized robotic suits and access various functions on the ship. In addition, the warriors command weapons pods, individual mechanized combat units that serve a dual function as individual vehicles with custom weaponry and escape pods. Despite all the armament though, the squadron has fallen in battle and fell straight out of the stars to a primitive planet...Earth!

    In a desperate move, four young college students from the college town of Westside Reef, Florida have been selected to replace those Star Defenders, make their way into space, to protect not just the earth, but whole galaxies! They must keep their identity secret, to protect themselves from being found out by Dark Echo, and to protect the entire planet Earth as well. Will these ordinary students have a chance against this powerful alien army? Can they hope to defend themselves? Will these armored agents be enough to defend both themselves and the planet earth with nobody catching on to the ruse? They must, they are the only hope for the Universe!

 What's up RPOL? I have a new game idea for you. A game of "Henshin! A Sentai RPG" I have always enjoyed Tokusatsu shows, even since I was introduced as small child. I have also been a freeform roleplayer for several years, including on RPOL. So I figured this system would work for it. I know it is mainly for Super Sentai-type roleplays, but I'd like to offer more customization for the players in this game and base it more on Metal Heroes.

 It is a system specifically designed for Super-Sentai, Kamen Rider, Metal Hero or other Henshin Hero type games! It looks like a great time, and it looks like a simple, story-based system I think I'd enjoy.

 I'd prefer the 2017 version of the book. It is mostly token-based system. As in, all the players get five tokens to start with and have to use them to get actions done, like transforming. Or they can gain a token by taking actions. We shall be doing that, but I will have certain weaknesses the monsters of the day have and some things will be more effective at taking them down then others. I may sometimes This game will still be squad based and team attacks will need to be done, I'd prefer a more armored look for these characters, I don't think you will need to coordinate the colors of your costume, just your color aesthetics. Pilot

 The pilot or driver of the ship. Unlike the others can pilot any of The Star Defender's vehicles even if not the one they normally use. Also has speed-based powers built into their armor.

Mechanic
  The healer of the team. Someone who can fix any armor and has a small advantage when healing organic matter as well. Commands a team of 10 "repair drones" around the ship to help the repair or help fix the ship and vehicles while occupied during combat.

Community & Cast

Setting: Westide Reef, a medium-sized city and home to a small college Westside Florida University.

Bases: The Vanguard the mobile starship that serves as both the Defender's base and a vehicle to travel the stars! Equipped with both lasers and powerful missiles, both individuals and a missile spread. Accessible through the Chronometers and an energy beam that can pick up the heroes anywhere outside on Earth.

Royal Star H.Q.: a repurposed space colony that now serves as the Union's military base and King's home. Located in Orbit around Pluto.

Community Locations: Campus Dorms the Earth-based home of the agents, small co-ed dorms in a mid-size city college. Starro's Pizza a pizza joint across the street from the college. University Gym the gym is one of the biggest hangouts in this campus community. Westside Harbor the boat harbor at the edge of the city.

Squad Obligation: A promise to live up to their predecessors and defend the universe.
Squad Principle: Peace, to save lives and end an endless war affecting the universe!

Custodian of Power: T.E.A or Tactical Equipment Advisory, a tactical computer that advises on weapons, armor, vehicles and tactical situations. It has scanned and picked out these four earthlings to take up the Star Defender's Mantle and avenge the old heroes against Dark Echo.

Royal Commander Xyler: The station commander of Star H.Q. who directly interacts with the Star Defenders and gives them their missions.

Big Bad: Dark Echo a humanoid bat-like creature who has caused the Union to nearly fall apart and is now looking to invade earth! Seeks power and has commandeered a prison ship and is using that as his mobile headquarters of his empire. Can turn invisible and hack into numerous machines, and is a formidable fighter in his own right.

General Argohst a red, dragon-like bipedal creature with metal armor over the torso and legs. Can breath fire, wields an energy sword, and can fly.

Foot soldiers: Quasar Bots Multi-Purpose Red-and Blue robots, (on both halves) that wield energy weapons like sabers, laser blasters, vibrating axes and can electrify their arms to make hand-to-hand combat easier. They can also pilot and use repair tools to repair their vehicles and some monsters.

Power Source: Chronometers wrist communicators and watches that when pushing a certain button can transform them, and can "abduct" them anywhere outside on the Earth's surface.

Signature hand motion: Pressing buttons on the Chronometers with their index finger and then raising their wrist with the chronometer on it, throwing their fist up towards the sky.

Weapons Combine into some kind of blaster.
Mechs combine into an ultimate form that is aerodynamic, blaster-shooting, and armored.

The Vanguard looks like this:

Inside it contains a Command Center that provides a station for every Star Defender. It also has, an individual bedroom for all four with easy access to their Weapon’s Pods in a hatch that opens in the ceiling. Two guest rooms, a brig. In the back is the engines and an engineering room that has elaborate controls for the repair drones, the gravity, and the hyperspace engines. Aside from the weapon’s pods the ship is equipped with quick laser beams, a powerful continuous laser beam. Missiles that break out and spread over a single target, grappling hooks for other ships that require strength from the agents to use, and a light beam to move people from the surface of a planet to the middle of the ship in a cargo hold. It has no teleportation devices.
