Re: The Steps of Mount Gram OOC

Hey guys sorry for the delay in posting but I got slammed with work and had to refresh my memory of how journeys work in this edition. I have deleted your posts since there might be one or two events along the road you are welcome to re post them now if you wish. Just so everyone knows it will take six days to get to Weathertop, and after the resolution of this event I will need another Travel roll from Borin to see if anything else happens on the road.

Re: The Steps of Mount Gram OOC

I thought we were already in Bree

quote:
The village of Bree is alive with the preparations that happen during spring in this part of Eriador. The farms are awash in a flurry of activity and those inhabitants of the town that make a living by artisanal work are no less busy. The whole town is awash in activities of every sort. In the chief inn of Bree however at the place called the Prancing Pony there is an elderly looking gentleman whose chief color seems to be grey leans back at the table he is sitting at with a few others and says "My friends I trust your trip to meet me here was not too strenuous?"

I'm thinking he meant Weathertop? or possibly Last Bridge? (but I could be wrong???)

Re: The Steps of Mount Gram OOC

07:26, Today: Celegnor rolled 11,8 using 2d12,2d6 with rolls of 7,4,2,6.  Lookout, TN 15

The 7 and 4 are the d12 rolls because Awareness is favoured, so 7+2+6=15, so a great success with the 6.

Re: The Steps of Mount Gram OOC

On a further note what is the preferred way to do rolls? I saw they have the one Ring system option but when in I tried to roll with 2d12 + 2d6 it said the one Ring only uses d6 Soni just used a custom selection.

Indeed you left from Bree heading East to Weathertop and Gandalf left going West to the Shire from Bree.

In reply to Celegnor (msg # 91):

I would prefer the one ring system roller if it doesn’t allow one to roll 2 d12 for advantage make one roll with the d6s and one roll with no d6s

Re: The Steps of Mount Gram OOC

Celegnor got the company the short cut result for his roll so it will take one less day to reach Weathertop but everyone in the company receives a single point of fatigue automatically. There is an encounter that effects everyone currently and the Guide needs to make a final roll to get the group the rest of the way.

Re: The Steps of Mount Gram OOC

Hey guys, I'm going to bow out...

I am in another game that's been running about 5 weeks and is over 3000 posts (about 800 in game posts, 600 combat thread posts and around 1600 OOC posts).  We started at 1st level and are now 300xp away from 6th.

I just can't get into this game or my character at this pace, which ironically decreases how much I post...

I hope the game continues and everyone involved enjoys themselves. Happy gaming now and always.

–Balthazar

GM please either transfer Borinto be an NPC or have him die on the road. Either way please boot Balthazar from the game.

Re: The Steps of Mount Gram OOC

Your wish is my command sir. Would the rest of the party like me to keep the Dwarf around as an NPC for this adventure or find a way for him to make an exit now?

Re: The Steps of Mount Gram OOC

I don’t really mind about the dwarf, but slight preference to have them leave the company to keep things simple.

But more importantly, I’m also frustrated with the slow pace, which I think mainly comes down to the Loremaster.  Is it realistic that we all start posting at least daily?  If not, I will probably duck out as well.  It may be easier to run a fast pace with fewer players.

I am fine with posting at a faster pace but I need people to make posts in IC a bit faster for example there is a roadside encounter in IC right now that hasn't been responded to by anyone.

I'm very much down to move to the expected one post a day pace minimum pace and very likely to do more if it fits with the overall speed.

I'll wait to continue posting until we have the results of Narieth and Gundolph's actions. For your rolls are those copy pasted or is there a way to roll directly into a reply post?

Re: The Steps of Mount Gram OOC

Hey guys this is just a friendly reminder to check the box that says to record all dice when you roll since on a success each additional 6 rolled increases your success. Some of you have seen your rolls reduced to just a simple success because of this  so I am simply reminding you guys to do that to help you get the best possible opportunity from your rolls.

Do these enemies have a Parry bonus that we need to take into account?
